Since June, the corrupt officials in my area have been preparing for a new wave of persecution against Dafa practitioners by order of the "610" Office. They threatened that it is time to treat Falun Gong, now that SARS is gone. They arrested Dafa practitioners, sabotaged Dafa sites for information materials, and set up brainwashing centers.

Yet, as Dafa practitioners have become more and more mature and firm, the evil could not achieve its goal. The arrested Dafa practitioners absolutely do not give in to the evil. When being arrested, some resist this persecution in the face of abuse at the hands of police; others showed no fear facing forced-labor and severe court sentences, in spite of interference from their families. They did not give away information about the sites for producing information material and fellow practitioners, and reiterated that they would clarify the truth wherever they go and convey Master's new teachings and the momentum of Fa rectification to fellow practitioners in jail so that all can keep pace with the progress of Fa rectification. Currently, many practitioners who compromised their faith under persecution, against their will, have steadfastly come back to the path of Dafa cultivation. Others who gave up cultivation during the period of severe persecution have renewed their practice as well.

People who have not come into contact with Dafa before also want to read Dafa books and want to cultivate after having coming to know the truth. The people have developed a more clear and rational attitude towards Dafa. Even some low-level government workers who were taken advantage of are becoming increasingly unwilling to follow the evil in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Some community officials told Dafa practitioners: "The above asks us to fill out information charts about you. We have done that and said that we have not found any problem. We know you are all good people. We are clear that we should not write anything that is not good for Dafa." Some said: "I know, sooner or later, the case of Falun Gong will be reversed in China. I was also told not to toss out those Dafa materials sent to our community committee and keep them in good shape. Some instantly refused to look for Dafa practitioners when requested by police, and said: "Those are all good people. I am not going."

Those police who have taken part in the persecution fear that they will be listed on the "Vicious People" bulletin and are afraid of phone calls from Dafa practitioners from overseas. Karmic retribution cases for vicious people are also becoming more frequent.

However, just as Master told us: "I've said before that the evil won't stop persecuting even right up until the very end. Even if it's going to end tomorrow, today that evil will still do evil just the same." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 US Philadelphia Fa Conference).

Recently, a talk from a small head of the city "610" office has utterly exposed their dark minds. This person is a political guard at a public security bureau. Since he is instructed to monitor and control Falun Gong practitioners, he has tirelessly participated in the persecution. He arrested, spied on, and jailed Dafa practitioners. He has also extorted money from practitioners and their families, run brainwashing sessions, forced practitioners to write "Three Statements"[Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.], beaten practitioners, used obscenities, and insulted Dafa and Master. As a result, he has been promoted; however, he has incessant troubles at home. First, he was divorced, then his mother became paralyzed, followed by his father's untimely death.

Yet, this person has not been remorseful. In one recent brainwashing session, he ferociously and viciously attacked Dafa and Master, shouting: "I tell you, that this crackdown is still on. You are not allowed to practice Falun Gong, even at home. As long as you are found to have Dafa books or materials in your home, you will be arrested, and sent to forced labor for at least two years. If you are suspected, your home will be ransacked. I tell you, the communists are capable of torturing people. Nobody can match this capability in the world."

"Think about it, which movement has not tortured people? Right now, some people in society appeal for salary, for subsistence. If they appeal too much, they will be arrested under the accusation that he or she is a trouble-making Falun Gong practitioner. Nobody dares to speak in his favor. For real Falun Gong practitioners, however they are treated, nobody dares say to anything because it is their superior who gives the order."

"Some people say the police are no good. I admit that. I have heard more than what you know. Some say that the police are hooligans with licenses, that they are just like the mafia. Without badges, they are like bandits. But right now, who is not corrupt? The higher the position is, the more corrupt it is. And it is exactly these people that are able to torture you Falun Gong practitioners".

"Let's get back. The brainwashing session has been run for several times. We don't want to do it anymore. It is so hot. How nice it would be if we could find a cool place to sleep. But no way, this cannot happen. The higher ups demand that the center be set up. In other words, this is dictated from above, and money has been allocated for the center to continue. For every headcount, it is given 1000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.]. It is not allowed if you do not spend some money. Only some discounts are made. It is stipulated that the session must last for 10 to 20 days, for every period. We run it for 10 days. They require us to carry the class for the entire day, and we do it for a little more than half a day."

"If no one is writing the "Three Statements", this session will come to a dead end. We will be forced to sentence you to a labor camp. Recently our "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] had a meeting. Our director said that a new method is being studied: For all those who insist on practicing, their salaries will be transferred to "610" offices at all levels. If they agree to write the "Three Statements", their salaries will be paid. Otherwise, they will not receive any salary. A retired official in our city insists on practicing. Therefore, he was fired, his salary was cut off, and he was put into forced-labor. His old spouse was persecuted to death and he is nearly 70-years-old. Yet, he will not be paid a penny."

This scoundrel boasted without reservation, exposing the vicious corruption and sadistic deeds in such a shameless way. This reminds me of something said by a middle-level official: "There is a way to see the nature of this sort of people. That is to observe who lectures on the "Three Representations" more often [refers to recent Communist propaganda by Jiang claiming to represent the interests of most Chinese people,]; who claims more proudly, "this is the best period of Chinese human rights"; who sings the praises of converting Falun Gong practitioners more actively. The more one does this, the more he has done evil."

From the talk given by this lower level "610 Office" head, we can see that those who do the evil's dirty work are exhausted after more than four years' persecution. They cannot be in high spirits, no matter how loud the evil above shouts. They barely sustain the persecution out of their evil nature, even with the manipulation from the evil forces in other dimensions who seek to ruin Dafa. At the same time, they are shivering in fear from their countless vices, which they will have to pay for in the future.

Finally, please let me share Master's teaching to encourage each other:

"Of course, all of this, whether you're talking about the persecution or the evil going towards its demise, this thing isn't finished. So as Dafa disciples you can't let down your guard in validating the Fa, and we should do it even more diligently. And for those of you who haven't done well or who stepped forward late, for you especially, you must seize the final chance to do well, because when there's really no more evil this affair will come to an end."
