Powerful Righteous Thoughts and a Firm Heart Frighten Away and Eliminate Evil

One day in April this year, a fellow practitioner that I had not seen for a few years delivered some Dafa material to me. Upon seeing him, I was attracted by the beautiful Falun badge on his chest. But then I wondered secretly, "In this special period, why did he dare to wear the Falun badge. Did he not have any worries and fears? The evil is madly persecuting Dafa and practitioners."

Later we shared experiences and I frankly told him my thoughts. He smiled and said peacefully, "It is perfectly justified for a Dafa practitioner to wear a Falun badge from the perspective of heavenly principles. Who would be afraid? Only the evil beings and vicious people would be afraid. Teacher said, 'one righteous mind can subdue one hundred evils' (Zhuan Falun). As long as we have strong righteous thoughts and a firm heart, we can act righteously and the evil cannot find any loophole. Besides, wearing a Falun badge will create more opportunities to clarify the truth to people and let people see that Dafa practitioners are not afraid of the evil forces, giving people a deep impression of dignity."

The fellow practitioner then calmly shared what happened after he started wearing the Falun badge. As early as this January, he started wearing it. Unexpectedly, his family members were the first to speak out against it and asked him to take off the badge and stay home to practice Dafa and avoid being persecuted again. Facing his family members' concern and fear, his mind did not become disturbed. Instead, he further clarified the truth to his family members and let the whole family see truth-clarifying materials and VCDs about Dafa. Finally, his family members all understood and supported him.

One day, one of his long time friends came to visit him. Upon seeing the Falun badge, his friend's facial color changed and he said many unpleasant words. But this practitioner stayed calm since he knew it was the evil beings behind his friend that was affecting him. So he started to clarify the truth. At last his friend understood everything and said good-bye to him with a smile and said, "You've got to practice well!"

At work, this practitioner clarified the truth to almost every co-worker and temporary helper. He gave them truth-clarifying VCDs. The management heard about it and a major leader of his work unit confronted him and asked him not to wear the Falun badge and not to practice Falun Gong anymore. He then took that opportunity to clarify the truth. After one day of conversation, the leader understood the answer to many questions that bothered him and also many principles. The practitioner then gave him a truth clarification VCD. After watching the VCD, the leader said he respected Dafa and practitioners.

After the practitioner told me this, he said, "Actually I don't really care about how everyday people look at my wearing the Falun badge. I am just trying to clarify the truth to them. But the fellow practitioners' different views and attitudes did puzzle me for a while." Then he told me about what some fellow practitioners said about his wearing the Falun badge. Some advised him to make safety a top priority and that it's better to be careful. Some said that he was giving the evil forces the chance to persecute him. Facing fellow practitioners, he always tried to share his experience from the Fa's perspective and he calmly spoke out about his own understanding. Eventually, the fellow practitioner not only understood him but also became moved by his powerful righteous thoughts. Some fellow practitioners also started to wear the Falun badges.

This practitioner bought a computer, a photocopier, and a VCD burner and started to make Dafa truth clarification materials. Recently, I went to his home and saw him glowing with health. His wife told me that he was really busy at work in the daytime, so he squeezed out time in the evening to make Dafa truth materials. He often did not have time to have lunch. In the evening, he often sat before the computer all night long. Looking at his thin face and the shining Falun badge on his chest, I told myself that I should be as worthy of the title of Dafa practitioner.
