Nine-year-old Disciple: Our Effort Will Be Smooth If We Make Our Hearts Righteous

Greetings dear Teacher, greetings fellow practitioners--I am Zhang Yuxin and I am nine years old. I have been practicing Falun Gong since 1998.

When I first obtained the Fa, I was still in the middle class in kindergarten. I did not recognize many characters so my mom helped me to read character by character. After we went through Zhuan Falun for the first time, I was able to read the book by myself. I could also do the meditation for one hour in the full lotus position without feeling any pain. After only half a year I could do the full two-hour exercise everyday. Now, I read one or two lectures of Zhuan Falun and other lectures by Teacher each day.

At the beginning I had some fear about telling the truth, so I only wrote addresses on envelopes. Then I got involved with a simple Internet chat room. Now I am doing more and more. Even my five-year-old brother knows how to help.

Once I saw my mom clarifying the truth over the phone. I wanted to do it but felt a bit scared. I thought to myself that I should at least give it a try. Since I am a Dafa practitioner I should not be affected by the attachment of fear. Thus, I told my mom I wanted to clarify the truth over the phone. My mom was very happy for me and gave me a sheet of reference material about calling China. That was how I got started. The first time I was tense when someone answered the phone and I started talking. I remained tense even though the other side listened to me until I finished. Most people listened to me. In fact, if we make our heart righteous, everything will turn out O.K.

When I was in the 2^nd grade, one of my classmates suddenly said, "Falun Dafa, Zhen-Shan-Ren, Free Exercise Teaching Class." I asked him how he knew about that and he told me he saw it on a Dafa picture board. After I went home that day I asked mom to give me a bunch of Dafa materials and bookmarks to give to my classmates. I also gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun. Finally he indicated that he would like to learn Dafa too! After that, I sent truth clarifying newspapers, information packets, bookmarks, and copies of Zhuan Falun to my teachers and classmates at school. During a spring field trip, our bus passed Dafa picture boards along the road. Many classmates called out, "Falun Dafa is great!"

Once there was a question in our summer school homework. It said, if you have a guest, how would you entertain them? I wrote in my homework that I would introduce Falun Dafa to my guest. I ended up receiving a good grade because I did the homework well.

There were people who believed me when I told them the truth. There were also those who did not believe me. But at times, some of them would change their mind after listening to me.

I diligently keep up on my Fa study, exercises, and on sending forth righteous thoughts. I must do everything well regardless of my situation!
