Persecutors of Falun Gong Meet With Karmic Retribution

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]

Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, the Tongbei Forestry Bureau in Beian City, Heilongjiang Province, has severely persecuted local practitioners. Brainwashing classes aimed at forcing practitioners to renounce their beliefs have been held many times, and more than ten people have been sent to forced labor camps. At the end of 2000, Chen Xiaoguang, the party secretary of the Tongbei Forestry Bureau and the main official in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, took a bus to Huangshan Mountain at the public's expense and was killed when it went off the road and flipped over. The other people on the bus only had minor injuries.

Chen Xiaoguang's successor, Zhao Guanghui, maintained the persecution of Falun Gong after Chen was killed. In 2002, after he was transferred to another post at the Fangzheng Forestry Bureau, he was suddenly fired, and his son was also dismissed from the police force.

The head of the local Public Security Bureau in Beian City, Yang Mingzhang, recently had a car accident. Both of his legs were broken, and until now, he is still recuperating at home. Yang Mingzhang is notorious for his severe persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

The Xinshou Section of the Zhongba Female Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou Province serves as the main base for persecuting female Dafa practitioners in Guizhou. The team leader, Gu Xinying, has gained a lot of material wealth by persecuting practitioners. A 30-year-old practitioner, Ms Han Ming, was severely tortured and died after being injected with an unknown drug because she firmly cultivated Dafa. In addition, an English teacher from Guigang School, Wu Mingju, and other practitioners were illegally held beyond their Forced Labor sentences because they refused to give up practicing Falun Gong.

At present, many police in the Forced Labor Camp who have not distinguished between good

and evil and have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong are meeting with karmic retribution. Some have suffered from chronic illnesses that remained untreatable for long periods of time. Those who have directly gotten their family members involved in the persecution have had their family members suffer from sudden acute illnesses and die. Some have also had car accidents and emergency operations, while others have had their homes broken in to.

Wang Zhenzhong is a former practitioner from Handan City, Hebei Province. When Falun Gong was outlawed on July 20^th, he betrayed his fellow practitioners and helped the policemen. He also publicly slandered Falun Gong and Master Li on the Handan TV station, Hebei TV station, and on CCTV (China Central Television). Now, he has suddenly come down with an advance stage of cancer and his life is dire danger.

Mr. Lu Hengfa's wife from Xilujia Village, Xiadingjia Town, Longkou city, Shandong Province has been destroying the information that Dafa practitioners post to clarify the facts. One day some people tried to persuade her not to, saying that it would bring about karmic retribution. But she did not listen, and continued to destroy the materials when she saw them. Three days later, she fell from a ladder and could not walk for over a month. A middle school student in the same village, the son of Xing Qihua, also repeatedly tore down and destroyed Dafa materials. One day he fell and broke his arm.

Ever since the persecution began, Ran Lingcai, a cadre from Shuangcheng City, has followed Jiang's regime to directly persecute practitioners. In August of this year, he died of throat cancer.

A residents' committee director from Handan City has continuously harassed and monitored practitioners since July 20, 1999. When she saw truth-clarification materials, she would always tear them down and seek out practitioners and shout at them loudly. Whenever a holiday or national celebration was approaching, she would try and prevent practitioners from going to Beijing to appeal. A little while ago, she was suddenly stricken with an acute illness and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. She died shortly after. Many people commented that her death was karmic retribution for all the bad things she had done to Falun Gong practitioners.

The deputy chief of the Liaozhong County Police Department, Lin Yongxian, has personally directed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in his area. A short while ago, he suffered a stroke.

Zhao Shuyu and Wei Yunbai from the Peace Protection Brigade of the Liaozhong County Police Department were known to persecute practitioners quite cruelly. At the end of July of this year, they were both dismissed for improper behavior while drinking alcohol on the job.
