Longkou "610 Office" Arrests Elderly Practitioners Mr. Wang Mingli and His Wife Mrs. Shi Fengzhi and Tries to Illegally Sentence Them

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners Mr. Wang Mingli and his wife Ms. Shi Fengzhi of Longkuo City, Shandong Province are both 60-some years old. Because of their firm belief in "Truthfulness -- Compassion -- Forbearance" Mr. and Mrs. Wang had been illegally taken into custody many times. They were also illegally detained when they went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. To avoid harassment and persecution by the local police and the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.], the couple have had to leave their home and remain without a fixed address since the summer of 2002.

Around May 10, 2003, the "610 Office" of Longkou city's Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Wang and his wife Ms. Shi. Their Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, and audio recording equipment were confiscated. Because of their being firm Dafa practitioners, Longkou city authorities illegally sentenced the couple to severe terms. After them, other local practitioners Ms. Qu Cuihong and Ms. Han Xia were also arrested by the Longkuo Public Security Bureau. After being crudely tortured, both of them were illegally sent to a forced labor camp between June and July for 3 years of forced labor.
