Dafa practitioner Ms. He Xuehua lived in the remote mountains of Jishishan County, Gansu Province. Her family was very poor. Her husband died when she was in her 30s.

In early September 2002, while clarifying the truth about Dafa, He Xuehua, along with Dafa practitioner Jiao Yonglin from Linxia County, was arrested by police. Both practitioners shouted "Falun Dafa is Good" in the courtroom when the authorities held a show trial for them. Later Jiao Yonglin was sentenced to 5 years and is now still jailed at the Dashaping Prison in Gansu Province.

He Xuehua was tortured to death in mid June of 2002 at the Dashaping Prison. The police lied, saying that she jumped to her death from the sixth floor.

After He Xuehua's death, two children are left behind, with no one to take care of them. We call upon the international community to pay attention to the situation and help bring to justice those who persecute Dafa practitioners.
