Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Ling of Huaihua City, Hunan Province is Severely Injured and Illegally Detained in a Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net, September 4, 2003) Dafa practitioner Zhou Ling, a 42 year old woman, lives in Hecheng County in Huaihua City, Hunan Province. Because she actively clarified the truth about Falun Gong, police from Hongjiang City " 610 Office"* arrested her in October 2000. She remained there for over two months and was unconditionally released after her hunger strike.

To avoid police harassment, Zhou Ling left home and went into hiding. On July 9, 2001, she and several fellow practitioners went to Beijing, where they displayed a banner to appeal for Falun Gong in Tiananman Square. The police brutally beat them. As a result, two of Zhou Ling's ribs were broken. In the evening, they were transferred to the Dongcheng District Detention Center. To protest the illegal detention, she went on another hunger strike for over 50 days. During this time, she was force-fed through the insertion of a plastic tube to the stomach through a nostril and was also tortured by electric needles. She almost died from this torture. The police tried to cover their evil acts by injecting some unknown nerve-damaging drugs into the top of her head. According to Zhou Ling's recollection, "After the injection, my brain went blank." The unknown drug also caused blurred vision. Today, she still cannot clearly see things.

In 2001, the evil intensified the persecution. The police started to round up Dafa practitioners who were forced into hiding. Policeman Zhou Wei from the Hongjiang City "610 Office" traveled to Beijing and looked for practitioners from his region. He recognized Zhou Ling. In October 2001, despite her worsening physical condition, the "610 Office" police still transferred her back to the Baimalong Female Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City. Because of Zhou Ling's strong belief in Falun Dafa, the labor camp illegally extended her detention term three times. Currently, she is still being detained at Baimalong Forced Labor Camp.
