Greece: Spreading the Fa and Telling People the Facts (Photo)

At the beginning of September, a group of practitioners went to Greece to join local practitioners in Athens in passing on the wonderful benefits of practicing Falun Gong to the Greek people; practitioners also visited the growing Chinese community in Athens to tell them the facts about the ongoing persecution in China. Below are a few of the practitioners' experiences.

In Athens, practitioners visited the city center and held an exercise demonstration on the street while passing out flyers to introduce the practice to passersby. Details of free classes in Athens were on display throughout the exercise demonstration. Many locals and tourists stopped to ask questions and were shocked and sympathetic upon hearing about the persecution in China. Luckily practitioners had flyers in many different languages to give to the passersby.

At the class in Athens, some local children joined in as the practitioners demonstrated the exercises. After they began to imitate the movements, one practitioner taught them all four of the standing exercises.

At the famous Acropolis, practitioners spent the morning demonstrating the exercises. Tour buses from Mainland China arrived and one western practitioner who can speak some Chinese clarified the facts to them while the others calmly demonstrated the beauty of Dafa by practicing the exercises. The Chinese people listened intently. They had many misunderstandings due to the propaganda, yet they accepted truth-clarifying materials and were encouraged to think about the facts themselves.

Later a small group moved north to Thessalonica, the second largest city in Greece, where they stayed for a few days. There was a large international business exhibition taking place and this allowed practitioners to clarify the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to many people. Later more people were taught the exercises, which laid a foundation for a practice site.

This short trip laid a good foundation for the people of Greece to see the wonderful nature of Falun Dafa.
