In A Few Words: The Pure Relationship among Dafa Practitioners
By Xiao Mei in the US
(Clearwisdom.net September 8) There are about ten Falun Dafa practitioners in our small
town. We are all very honest and straightforward, and these characteristics have their advantages as
well as drawbacks. The good part lies in that everyone is able to speak out his or her mind, so our
existing attachments can be easily exposed. However, not paying enough attention to cultivation of
speech can hurt others. As each of us continues to cultivate oneself, our negative sides have become
weaker and weaker, while our positive sides have played more and more important roles. From the quarrelling of several years ago to the honest persuasion and then to the present time,
we are able to calm ourselves down whenever we encounter conflicts. We would refrain ourselves from
speaking out if the timing was not right. We would patiently wait to explain some point to our
fellow practitioners when the proper time arrived. Overall, we did not let the chance pass by.
Sometimes, when one's main consciousness is not very strong, one really needs a strong push from
fellow practitioners. After finishing the sitting meditation this morning, I found that Dong had come home. Aunt Z told
me, "Lin told Dong yesterday, 'Can you calculate how many hours you have spent in cultivation
[exercises] each day? You are usually very busy, but you should be able to come to do the practice
on weekends.'" I was very touched by what I heard. How sacred is the pure relationship that is
entirely for the benefit of the others! While a cultivator keeps letting go of everyday people's notions and sentimentality, is what he
or she has cultivated out of child-like innocence and an Enlightened Being's compassion? When you
talk to others while in this state of mind, they will be able to feel your compassion, whichever way
you talk to them. We all also have realized that through cultivation practice, the various notions
that occur between different types of people become weaker and weaker. I understand that this is
because a child does not have these notions and he is honest with everyone. It is even more the case
for Enlightened Beings, who treat all beings with compassion. We are all children that Master has led on a path of cultivation, and we are all walking home
faster and faster. However, when one of us occasionally is unable to catch up with the others, at
that time, the fellow children should step forward and give him or her a hand so that they are able
to go home together by following Master. I am unable to describe the magnificence and greatness that
exists with human language. September 8, 2003 |
