(Clearwisdom.net) On August 12, Dafa practitioners Che Xiaoyang and Zhao Lifang, two former employees at the Zijiang Agricultural Chemical Factory of Shaoyang city, Hunan province, were abducted by police from the Shuangqing branch of the Shaoyang Police Department when they were distributing truth clarifying VCDs to the public. The policemen beat her so brutally that she bled from the mouth and fell unconscious. She and Che Xiaoyang were then thrown into a police vehicle and sent to the First Detention Center of Shaoyang city.

Zhao Lifang and Che Xiaoyang have persevered in validating Dafa and saving sentient beings ever since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. They have been abducted and detained several times since then and both were illegally sentenced to 1.5 years imprisonment during 2000 and 2001. After being released, they continued to clarify the truth and were again abducted and detained several more times. The police extorted tens of thousands of Yuan from them through these series of abductions and detentions (the average monthly income of a Chinese worker is about 500 Yuan). When they were abducted just recently on August 12, the police stole their mobile phone, which cost more than 2000 Yuan, and ransacked their homes without a warrant. They took away a laptop computer, printer and digital camera worth approximately 10,000 Yuan, as well as 4,400 Yuan in personal savings.

At present, Zhao Lifang has been on a hunger strike without any food or drink for seven days to protest her illegal detention. She has fallen unconscious several times because of her weak physical condition. Even so, the policemen have still forced her to do physical labor from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Her life is currently in danger. Zhao has had a large amount of her income and personal property stolen by the police, and her family has been threatened and harassed as well. Her 8-year-old child has lost her mother, and her husband has been forced to divorce her. Through all of this however, she has upheld her right and freedom to practice cultivation. This time, the policemen have threatened that she will never be set free if she doesn't give up practicing Falun Gong.

We ask that those people in China and abroad who read this article and who uphold justice to call the police department where Zhao Lifang is being held. Please clarify the facts of Falun Gong to the police and eliminate the evil elements that are persecuting Zhao Lifang.
