Solemn Statement

I first started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. Since then I got rid of a lot of bad habits, and dramatically improved myself morally and spiritually. After July 20, 1999, I did not study the Fa well, thus I could not look at problems from the Fa's standpoint, and did not search inwards. On February 18, 2002, I watched a truth-clarifying DVD and was deeply moved by fellow practitioners' firm cultivation in Dafa and their insisting on telling people the facts even under such pressure due to the persecution. To show that I still had firm faith in Dafa, I went to the police department and requested them to return the "repentance statement" that I had written before. However, I did not understand the Fa from the Fa's standpoint, rather I did this with an everyday person's attachments.

On April 9, 2002, I was sentenced to two years of forced labor. At first I was very firm. However, just two months later my everyday people's attachments such as being afraid surfaced. Amidst the persecution, I did what a cultivator should not do and wrote the "three statements"* to give up cultivation and later wrote the "five statements." These are the results of not studying the Fa well. I faced a lot of problems due to my everyday people's attachments and could not diligently hold myself to a cultivator's standard. I hereby solemnly declare that the "three statements" and "five statements" that I wrote, along with my previous actions that are not in accord with Dafa are all null and void. From now on I will diligently hold myself to a cultivator's standard, take the Fa as Master and do well the three things Master has told us to do. I will redouble my efforts to make up for the loss that I have caused Dafa, and diligently cultivate myself until Consummation.

Solemn Statement

Because I did not study the Fa well and had too many everyday people's attachments, I lost my righteous mind and give in to the evil during the persecution of Dafa and Dafa practitioners. In August 1999, I wrote a "Personal Understanding," and later provided an oral "guarantee." This is a shame for a cultivator, since what I did was unworthy of Master's benevolence and Dafa's salvation.

Now I have learned the truth about Dafa and have completely realized my mistakes. Hereby I solemnly declare that all my previous words and actions that are not in accord with Dafa are all null and void. I have made up my mind to correct my mistakes, to start studying the Fa well and practicing the exercises again. I will go back to the righteous path by diligently cultivating myself now. I will do well the three things Master has told us to do, validate Dafa, and clean up all the shame in my life with all my efforts to fulfill my grand prehistoric wish and be a true Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple.
