Falun Dafa teaches me how to become a noble-minded person

I am a technician. On September of 1997, I started to practice Falun Dafa. Before that, I had many work-related symptoms such as swelling and congestive eyeballs, dizziness, neurasthenia and strain of lumbar muscles etc. These symptoms had severely influenced my life and work. After I learned Falun Gong, I understand that Qigong can make one become healthy, but the prerequisite is that one must "emphasize his moral value" , "improve his Xinxing (heart/mind quality)", and "become a good person".

Through reading "Zhuan Falun" repeatedly, I have benefited tremendously. The above symptoms were all gone. In the recent two years, I feel very energetic. Even if I continuously work in front of the computer for long hours, I do not feel fatigue. Most importantly, Falun Dafa makes me understand how to become a good person with a noble heart.

On October of 1998, I participated in a competition for the title of Engineer. By that time, all my old classmates and colleagues who graduated at the same year as I had already been promoted to "intermediate title". I felt very stressful. Should I cotton up to the supervisors? Should I cook up some materials? I was puzzled. But once I thought of the teachings of Mr. Li Hongzhi, "The entire cultivation process for a practitioner will be one of constantly giving up the human attachments. In the ordinary society, people compete with each other, deceive each other, and harm each other for a little bit of personal interest. All such mentalities will have to be given up. Especially for our practitioners today, such mentalities should be given up even further." [Quoted from "Zhuan Falun", page 2], I decided to take my personal gain lightly. I competed with others on a fair basis. Although I failed, I felt very comfortable. I continue to cultivate my inner self and work harder on my work.

Before, I was very irritable and easily got excited. I had harmed many people unconsciously. I knew my shortcomings but it was hard to change. I felt very upset about it. Mr. Li Hongzhi said, "As practitioners we will run into problems suddenly. What should we do? You should always maintain a heart of compassion and kindness. When running into a problem, you will be able to do well because it gives you room to slow down. You should always display compassion and kindness towards others and think of others before doing anything. There will not be any problem if the first thing that you will think of, whenever encountering a problem, is whether others can put up with this matter and if it will hurt anyone."[Quoted from "Zhuan Falun" page 160]

Through learning Falun Dafa, my personality has changed a lot. I started to be kind and honest to everybody. Whenever encountering problem, I would first search my inner self and found out what was wrong with me. As to the jobs assigned by the supervisors, I would always be happy to do them well.

I will continue to follow the principle of truthfulness-compassion-forbearance to become a good and noble-minded person, and also a person who is beneficial to people.
