Amnesty International's UK Warwick Branch Invites Practitioners to Explain the Facts about the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September the 18th, the Warwick branch of Amnesty International in the UK invited several Dafa practitioners to attend their monthly meeting. They asked the practitioners to give a one-hour speech introducing the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The practitioners who attended the meeting first played a video about the global rescue efforts to rescue Dafa practitioners who are being persecuted in China. The tear-jerking footage deeply moved the audience. Then two Dafa practitioners used their personal experiences to illustrate the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners.

One of them talked about her experience of being illegally arrested and imprisoned when she returned to China to appeal for Falun Gong. The other talked about the Chinese Embassy's denial of her visa-extension because she refused to renounce her belief. These two true stories about the persecution that these Dafa practitioners' experienced in China (and also overseas) reinforced Amnesty International members' understanding of the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Dafa.

As the experience-sharing session ensued, Amnesty International members held an in-depth discussion with practitioners on the topic of the Falun Gong exercises and teachings, the popularity of Falun Gong in China and other countries around the world, and the brutal persecution imposed by the Jiang regime after July 1999. Dafa practitioners answered all the questions in detail based on their own understandings.

Finally, practitioners demonstrated some of the exercises for the Amnesty International members. The Dafa music, coupled with Master Li's voice on the tape, gave the meeting room a peaceful atmosphere.

In the closing session, the Warwick branch of Amnesty International in the UK decided to launch a campaign to collect signatures in British society to appeal to "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" and to "rescue Falun Gong practitioners' relatives persecuted in China" so as to support Falun Gong and let more people in the UK know that Falun Gong practitioners are suffering brutal persecution.
