Practitioners in Germany and Israel Work Together to Rescue Xiong Wei

(Clearwisdom.net) German and Israeli practitioners have so far made great efforts to rescue Xiong Wei. Xiong Wei studied at the Berlin Technical University and since January 2002, she has been detained in Xin An Female Labor Camp near Beijing. German Falun Gong practitioners and the International Society for Human Rights have also jointly initiated a rescue effort for Xiong Wei by asking people to write and send postcards to mainland China.

In the first week of September, German and Israeli practitioners came together to plan an event to rescue Xiong Wei. With Xiong Wei's elder brother in Israel, practitioners in the two countries coordinated with each other. At the appointed time, both German and Israeli practitioners phoned the authorities at the Female Forced Labor Camp where Xiong Wei is being held.

The action is not merely to appeal for Xiong Wei's release, but also to let Chinese officials realize that if human rights are violated in China, it is known worldwide, and that such actions will not be tolerated by Western countries. The fact that many practitioners in various countries launched lawsuits against Jiang Zemin gives those who enforce the persecution an opportunity to reconsider their actions. What is most important is to let people know the truth and to have them know the background of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Let us end this persecution and bring those responsible to justice.
