Philadelphia Dafa Practitioners Invited by Local Police to Participate in the Community's Celebration Activities (Photos) "Your Coming Adds Brightness to Today's Celebration" By Dafa Practitioners in Philadelphia
(Clearwisdom.net September 24th) After performing Falun Dafa exercises at
the Community Day activity sponsored by a State Assemblyman last week, on
September 20, Falun Gong practitioners from the greater Philadelphia area were
invited by the police officers at No. 12 Precinct to participate in the
precinct's "Open Day" activity and the ninth celebration parade of
"Philadelphia Southwest District Pride Day." During the parade, Falun Gong practitioners in bright golden yellow exercise
costumes played drums all the way; practitioners in long pink skirts performed a
Fan Dance to the beautiful music "Falun Dafa is good," which attracted
a lot of attention. On the street in front of the police station, the
practitioners performed the five sets of Falun Dafa exercises, Fan Dance and
Drums, while a practitioner was talking about the widespread practice of Falun
Dafa around the world and the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. The organizer of the activity had seen Falun Gong practitioners' performances
in other activities and had a deep impression, so this time she specially sent
practitioners an invitation. She said to practitioners, "Your coming makes
today's activity especially bright." Pennsylvania State Representative
Walters also attended the celebration. A local resident carrying his one-year old baby had been watching and said
that Falun Gong practitioners' performances were wonderful. He especially liked
the exercise demonstration. He felt it made him relax, and was good for reducing
stress. One practitioner who participated in the activity said emotionally, "In
China, on Jiang's orders the police persecute Falun Gong practitioners; in
America, Falun Gong practitioners are welcomed everywhere by the government and
the people. The practitioners are even especially invited to participate in the
police's celebrations. What a difference!" Posting date: 9/27/2003 |
