(Clearwisdom.net) Lawsuits to bring Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin to justice have now been
launched in the USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia and Germany, with plans to follow suit in UK,
Ireland and Canada. In the last four years, Jiang has spearheaded the brutal persecution of Falun
Gong practitioners after issuing the order "defame their reputations, bankrupt them
financially, and destroy them physically." The lawsuits have been filed on the grounds of
genocide, crimes against humanity and torture.
On 25 August 2003, a prominent Liberal Democratic MP in the UK wrote to a Falun
Gong practitioner expressing his support for bringing Jiang to justice. He said:
"Thank you very much for your letter of 11 July regarding Jiang Zemin, which
I read with interest.
Persecution of Falun Gong practitioners does seem to be an act that would be
unwarranted in our society. I agree with you that people being tortured to death for adherence to
Falun Gong is unacceptable. Anybody who commits such acts should be brought to justice in the
correct way and tried under international law."
