Cases of Persecution of Practitioners in Beipiao City, Liaoning Province

In May 2003, Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Caihong, a native of Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, was arrested and then detained in Beipiao City Detention Center. In mid-July she was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp to be subjected to further persecution.

In June 23, 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Fu Wenjie of Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province was arrested while distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials, and was detained in the Beipiao City Detention Center. He was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in July.

In June 24, 2003, Dafa practitioners Sun Mingzhe, Zhang Haifeng, and Xu Xiaoming from Beipiao City, Liaoning Province were arrested while distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials.

In late June 2003, Dafa practitioners Zhao Guoyun, Wang Shouzhi, and Wang Fenglan from Beipiao City were arrested in their homes.

During the evening of June 25, 2003, Dafa practitioner Zhao Guoyun from Beipiao City was abducted by personnel from Beipiao City's Qiaobei Police Station. Du Dezeng, head of the Qiaobei Police Station, tortured Zhao Guoyun in order to get a confession. He brutally tortured Zhao with a stick made of aluminum alloy. Zhao's thighs, buttocks, and back had sustained severe bruising and turned a black color.
