Two Cases of Karmic Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is,
being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental
teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in
harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will
incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while
evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of
those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires
that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape retribution. An Officer in the Xiangtan Police Department Involved in the Persecution Dies of Electrocution At the beginning of July, Feng Shunliang, who is the politics secretary for the Yuetang Branch of
the Xiangtan Police Department, organized a meeting for the purpose of planning a large-scale
search. They planned to go to every Falun Gong practitioner's home to search. Not long after the
meeting, Feng Shunliang and several friends went to a fishing pond in Chayuan Village in Tiaoma
Town, Changsha County to fish. When he drew back the fishing rod, his fishing line got caught on
high voltage electric wire. He fell into the pond, was electrocuted, and drowned instantly. Former Deputy Manager of the Quanxing Alcohol Factory Dies from an Acute Disease Huang Caiqing, a 60-year-old man and former deputy manager of the Quanxing Alcohol Factory in
Chendu, became the factory's person specifically responsible for persecuting Falun Gong. Since July
20, 1999, on many occasions he has lead a group of security personnel to Falun gong practitioners'
homes where he threatened them, and ordered them to hand over their Dafa books. In 2002 he was found
to have lung cancer and died soon after in October 2002. |
