(Clearwisdom.net) Sandefjord is a very beautiful Norwegian city with about 40,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the coast, 120 Kilometers south of Oslo. In the summertime, there are so many tourists in Sandefjord that the population more than doubles. On Saturday August 16th, Falun Gong practitioners set up an information stand in the Sandefjord city centre. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, distributed flyers, informed the public about the cruel persecution happening in Mainland China and collected petition signatures calling for the release of illegally imprisoned American citizen Charles Li.

There were many people who said they'd never heard of Falun Gong before. They wanted to learn the exercises and asked practitioners where they could take part in a Falun Gong introduction course. Practitioners let them know more about the free exercise classes. One group of children were so keen that they asked to learn the exercises on the spot!

One woman from Sandefjord told us that she used to live in Malaysia, where she had learned the Falun Gong exercises. She had often wondered if there was a local practice site in Sandefjord or any other Falun Gong practitioners that she could practice with. At the end of the day, a journalist from the local newspaper came and took some photos.
