Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Zhezi from Changde City, Hunan Province has been detained at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp for a year. She has been staging a hunger strike for over two months, and her life is in grave danger. The police have still not released her. They have been giving her daily intravenous injections while her four limbs are tied up.

In late July 2003, personnel from the Longquan District "610 Office"* illegally arrested practitioners Ms. Zhu Dezhen, Ms. Zhu Min, and Ms. Zhang Guangxiu, and put them into a brainwashing center located at the Hongshun Resort in the Baoshi Lake District of Longquan Town. In May 2003, personnel from the Longquan District "610 Office" set up a brainwashing center there. They have two people monitoring each practitioner in every room, and are broadcasting Dafa-slandering TV programs unceasingly.

In mid July, using righteous thoughts, a young female Dafa practitioner successfully escaped from this closely monitored, walled, and locked brainwashing center. She has been forced to live in exile.

Ms. He Guizhen is 37 years old. At the beginning of January 2002, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa for the third time, and was arrested at Tiananmen Square. It's known that she was sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment and is detained at Anhui Province's Suzhou Women Prison. Her 80-year-old mother died from grief after hearing the news about her daughter. Her husband didn't understand her and divorced her. A happy family was broken up by the brutality of Jiang's regime. Practitioner Mr. Liang Jinyu began practicing Falun Gong in 1994. He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment after July 20, 1999, and was detained and tortured at the Tailai County Prison in Heilongjiang Province. As a result, he has lost his ability to walk. He remains very firm in his belief in Dafa.

Recently, practitioner Ms. Feng Nuu was reported to the police when she was posting Dafa truth-clarifying materials in a village. She was arrested and taken to the local detention center. Detailed information about her is unknown.

Several days ago, practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuqing, who was detained at a brainwashing center, was extorted of 6,000 Yuan* before she was released.

Persons from the local "610 Office" arrested a new practitioner, a teacher, from school after the teacher expose the crimes committed by the local "610 Office".

At about 4:00 a.m. on August 7, 2003, Ms. Gao Guofeng was arrested. The perpetrators were from the city's "610 Office" and more than ten policemen from the Hongqi Police Precinct.

In 2002, Gao Guofeng was captured and taken to Harbin City's No. 2 Detention Center from a truth-clarifying materials producing site in Shuangcheng City. Gao held a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was then sent to Heilongjiang Province's Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for further abuse and torture. After four and a half months on a hunger strike, she became as thin as a skeleton and her life was in grave danger. At that point, the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp sent her back home. But right after she recovered, she was again arrested by the city's "610 Office" and police. She is currently being detained at the Shuangcheng City Detention Center.

On August 5, 2003, Mr. Yang Feng was arrested while he was waiting for a bus at the Shanda Road bus station in Jinan City, Shandong Province. On August 7 he was sent to the Weifang City Brainwashing Center, located at Weifang City's Industry Official School, North Part of Xinhua Road. On August 10, Yang's mother went to see him but she was then detained there. His mother frequently protested and requested to go back home. However, the policemen at the center refused her request and physically abused her. Without having a choice, his mother called the emergency "110" police number for help, but the policemen just ignored her. She is still being kept under house arrest currently.
