City's Brainwashing Center On August 5, 2003, Mr. Yang Feng was arrested while he was waiting for a bus at the Shanda Road
bus station in Jinan City, Shandong Province. On August 7 he was sent to the Weifang City
Brainwashing Center, located at Weifang City's Industry Official School, North Part of Xinhua Road.
On August 10, Yang's mother went to see him but she was then detained there. His mother frequently
protested and requested to go back home. However, the policemen at the center refused her request
and physically abused her. Without having a choice, his mother called the emergency "110"
police number for help, but the policemen just ignored her. She is still being kept under house
