Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Tang Yiwen Released from Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province

(Clearwisdom.net August 25, 2003)

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Yiwen is the sister of Australian citizen Liang Lizhen. Due to persistent rescue efforts from overseas Falun Dafa practitioners and others who uphold justice, she was "released for medical care" on the afternoon of August 23, 2003 at 2 p.m.

Ms. Tang Yiwen was illegally detained for an extended term in the Guangdong Provincial Chatou Women Labor Camp, where she endured inhumane tortures. Once she was handcuffed behind her back with both legs twisted and tied together. The police force-fed her hot chili pepper soup until she lost consciousness. She regained consciousness after 24 hours and found that she could not walk. Her father went to visit her one month after that and found that her legs were festering. He once fainted while telling people about her situation.

Because the torture of Tang Yiwen was exposed, out of fear the "610 Office"* transferred Tang Yiwen to Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. Due to strong righteous thoughts by Tang Yiwen and the rescue efforts of Falun Dafa practitioners and others who believe in justice around the globe, she was finally released from Sanshui Labor Camp on August 23, at 2 p.m.

*The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.
