Elderly Woman Loses Eyesight from Persecution; Her Three Children Are Tortured and Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison

Ms. Chen Jun from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province is a Dafa practitioner in her late sixties. She was illegally sentenced to three years in a labor camp, and was held at the Longshan "Re-education" Center in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Prior to her unlawful imprisonment, Ms. Chen had achieved a healthy mind and body through her Falun Dafa practice. After two years of illegal detention and persecution, Ms. Chen has become diabetic. One of her eyes has gone blind, while the other eye developed glaucoma. Her overall vision decreased to 0.2, and she experienced symptoms of a stroke. Her life could be in jeopardy. To evade further responsibilities, prison officials decided to release Ms. Chen in mid July.

Ms. Chen's three children, including daughters Jing Tian and Jing Cai, and son Jing Yu were all detained and illegally sentenced to over ten years in labor camps. All three were completely healthy, but they have developed tuberculosis due to the intense persecution and torment. Jing Cai now has pulmonary inflammation and is dreadfully emaciated. During interrogation, several policemen severely beat Jing Yu and broke his ribs. The ribs failed to heal properly and impaled his lungs, causing his lungs to become infected and swollen. Jing Yu coughs incessantly. Presently the three siblings are being kept at separate prison hospitals.
