(Clearwisdom.net) On the 23rd of August, UK Falun Gong practitioners
celebrated the first "UK Falun Dafa Day" with exercise demonstrations
and art performances at Chamberlain Square near the Town Hall in Birmingham. Not
only did the performances attract lots of people, but they also received
attention from the local media. "The Birmingham Post" used a picture
of a meditating Falun Gong practitioner and of dancing performances by Falun
Gong practitioners. The Birmingham Evening Mail's coverage was equally generous
with photos and accounts of the benefits many of the practitioners had obtained
through practising Falun Gong. The original texts are below:

people to be thrown into forced labour camps. These practitioners, who won 1st

ritual drumming performance, brought joy to the people in Chamberlain Square.
The show started at 11 am.

"Birmingham Post" Photo report from UK Falun Dafa Day, 25th August
Birmingham's Chamberlain Square was a picture of serenity
when practitioners of Falun Gong, a traditional form of Chinese meditation,
visited the city on Saturday. Eliza Li practises a meditation exercise which
helps to improve mind and body. Falun Gong was first made public in 1992 and
quickly became popular as people were drawn by stories of great health
improvements.
