2. [Zhuanghe City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Police Officers Suspected To Be Responsible For The Death of Dafa Practitioner Yang Xiuying

Ms. Yang Xiuying is 67 years old and from Zhuanghe City. She obtained Dafa in 1996. On April 24, 2002, she was arrested by officials from Chenguan Street Police Station, detained for one day, and released that evening. One early morning in May, she went to deliver Dafa truth-clarifying materials, but was arrested by patrolling police. By the time her family found out about her arrest, Yang had been sent to a hospital by police, and was in a coma. Several days later, she died in the hospital. Police officers told her family: "We found her lying on the ground, so we sent her to the hospital." Since information about this issue is tightly blocked by police, more investigation is needed to know the details.

50 year old Mr. Huang Deyang lived on Zhonghualu Street, Wuchang District. In early July 2003, he was arrested at home by police officers. It is not known where he is at present.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Yan Zhigang Is Detained at Hewan Forced Labor Camp

Since the time when Mr. Yan was sent to the forced labor camp, His wife Peng Qingqing had not seen him for two and a half years. On August 4, 2003, Peng went to Hewan Forced Labor Camp to ask for a meeting with her husband. Officials refused the request and evasively told her that things are OK and officers would obey the law. Peng and Yang's 80 year old mother waited until noon one day but still did not have a chance to see Mr. Yan. On August 31, 2002, police officers from the Zhentou police Station broke into Wang Yinke's living quarters at 1:00 am. They arrested him and other Dafa practitioners, and then tortured them. Now Wang is detained at the Xinle County Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City. The Qiaoxi Court of Shijiazhuang City is likely try him shortly.

Since December 2002, guards at the Baoding Jail have not allowed Dafa practitioners' families to visit them. In the months when SARS was prevailing, they used the epidemic as an excuse. Now the entrance guards simply do not allow visitors to enter through the door. Money or other items are not accepted, nor are phone calls, or mail.
