The Police in Jilin City Conduct Illegal Searches Targeting Falun Gong Using the Excuse of Verifying Census Data and Inspecting Houses

The authorities in Jilin City, Jilin Province, conducted illegal searches targeting Falun Gong practitioners. This was carried out under the pretense of verifying census data and inspecting homes. The tactics they use are that section heads of the police substations mobilize the building superintendents to search every household. The focus is on rented houses. If nobody opens the door, they put a marker on it and specially keep watch on that residence.
