(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Weiyu is a Ph.D student of Qinghua University. On August 12, 2002 he was abducted by the National Security Bureau while away on business. Mr. Wang Weiyu, 30 years old, began his Ph.D courses in Delicate Instruments and Mechanical Devices in 1996. He has acquired several excellent student awards. After he graduated from Qinghua University with a Bachelors degree he was exempted from taking exams and immediately began studying Ph.D courses. In September and October of 1999, because he attended a Falun Gong' experience sharing meeting, he was illegally detained by the Qinghua local police station two times. He was physically abused and forced to squat for 4 to 5 hours, and also interrogated by force until midnight. Afterwards, he was forced to stop his studies for more than 4 months. He was not able to start studying again until June of 2000. On July 22, 2000, while he was chatting with other people in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, he was arrested by the police without a reason and detained for a week. In the second half of 2000, he was forced to leave school to avoid further persecution. In August of 2002, he was secretly abducted by the special agents of the National Security Bureau at his work place.
