Xiangcheng City Mayor Dies in Car Accident; Police and Officials are Panic-stricken and Fear Karmic Retribution for their Crimes Against Dafa


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners have recently exposed the wicked deeds of those who are persecuting Falun Gong to the people in their local areas. They wrote open letters to the City Party Secretary, Wang Xiaoran, and the wife of the City National Security Division Head, Ma Zhefeng. As soon as the letter was composed, three events happened soon after:

  1. The police were afraid of answering phone calls from Dafa practitioners, and one after another they changed their cell phone numbers;
  2. The City Party Secretary, Wang Xiaoran, was transferred to Anyang City;
  3. Mayor Meng Weizhong was hit by an automobile on the Jing-Zhu highway on December 12, 2003 and died. At that time a heavy fog created a traffic jam on the highway. Mayor Meng insisted on getting out of the car to inspect the situation. As soon as he got out of his car, he was hit by another automobile and was seriously injured. Emergency medical treatment was not able to save his life.

Mayor Meng Weizhong had viciously persecuted Dafa practitioners. He frequently defamed Falun Dafa in his public speeches. When lawless personnel from Xiangcheng City inhumanly persecuted Dafa practitioners, Meng Weizhong many times took part in planning and plotting the abuses, mistreatments and torments. In June of 2001, Meng Weizhong, together with Tian Liang from the "610 Office"* and police officers Ma Zefeng, Zhou Qingwu, Wei Jianhua, Liu Yuqing from the Political and Security Division of Xiangcheng City, started carrying guns wherever they went to use in abducting Dafa practitioners. They searched homes and coerced people to give them money and other valuable belongings; they forced Dafa practitioners to become homeless to avoid being further persecuted, and they broke up and scattered many Dafa practitioners' families.

As it stands now, the original four persecutors, highly placed people within the Xiangcheng City government, cannot continue to fulfill their malicious duty of persecuting Falun Gong. The following people have been scattered: Wang Kefei, the head of the "610 Office," was transferred to Shangshui County; police department head Liu Guoqing, and the City Party Secretary Wang Xiaoran were also transferred out of Xiangcheng City, and Mayor Meng Weizhong received retribution by dying in a car accident.

*The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
