(Clearwisdom.net) Tears ran down my face when I read the news that Dafa disciple Liu Chengjun had been tortured to death. Our fellow practitioner, and a good man, Liu lost his life at thirty-two years of age simply because he exposed the evil to save sentient beings. His benevolent deeds will be forever recorded in history.
I met Liu Chengjun at an experience sharing conference in July 2001. He was a tall man with a strong build. He sat by my side and shared with everybody about how he broke out of the labor camp. He shed tears when other practitioners shared their experiences.
Later, some of us, including Chengjun and I, lived together for awhile and cooperated in Dafa work. He never wore expensive clothes, but his clothes were always very neat and tidy. He would wipe his shoes clean and put them away each time he returned home.
Chengjun was very diligent in studying the Fa. When the persecution started on July 20, 1999, he had already read Zhuan Falun more than 300 times. When we studied the Fa together, even without looking at the book, he could catch any mistake other practitioners made when they read. For a while after his release from the labor camp, he encountered interference when he studied the Fa since he hadn't had the chance to study the Fa for a long time while in detention. Each time he picked up the book, he would feel sleepy, but he never gave up. He would read the book aloud if he felt sleepy. If this didn't work, he would wash his face with cold water. Soon he was able to stay alert and read the book. He cherished that time very much. He would recite the Fa even when he was cooking. Every night he insisted on studying the Fa until midnight. The next morning he would get up at 3:40 sharp to study the Fa and do the exercises.
At that time, we did not pay enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts. We only did it three times on Saturdays. However, Chengjun was very serious about sending forth righteous thoughts. He did it every hour and suggested that we do the same. At times when we didn't join him, he would sit there quietly sending forth righteous thoughts by himself.
We often went out together to distribute truth-clarification materials. Each time Chengjun would ask us to return first, while he stayed behind to deal with any possible trouble. At that time, we had a copier. Because the volume of materials needed was very large, we had to leave the machine running from morning to night. Finally the machine broke down, and we couldn't make materials for half a month. Then Chengjun took charge of the material production work. The machine worked again and never broke during the time he was printing materials.
On October 1, 2001, Chengjun went to Tiananmen Square, in Beijing, to appeal. He held a Dafa banner and ran around the Square shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police arrested him. While in detention, he refused to give the police his name and address. After twenty-two days of hunger strike, he was released. When he returned, he was emaciated, but he fully recovered within a few days. Later the police raided our material production site because a spy had reported us. As Chengjun was leaving the site, he passed by the police as they were going upstairs. Restrained by his righteous thoughts, the police were not able to move and he left safely.
A month later, he helped us set up a new material production site. However, the police raid at the old site had frightened many practitioners. We all had a strong attachment to fear and didn't even dare go out to distribute materials. The whole area was blanketed in terror. Seeing this situation, Chengjun was very concerned. He arranged meetings for us to share experiences with each other. In order to improve the cultivation environment, he took the lead in validating the Fa.
One day, he bought seven buckets of paint. He went out with the paint in the morning and didn't come back until 2:00 in the afternoon. His hands were stained with red paint, and five of the buckets were empty. He had painted truth-clarifying messages everywhere. [Note: Without access to any typical means of communication such as newspapers, magazines, TV, or radio, Falun Gong practitioners in China have resorted to many creative and sometimes unusual methods for raising awareness among Chinese people about the persecution.] Inspired by him, we gradually stepped forward and started to make materials again.
After the new materials site was running smoothly, he left to help other practitioners set up materials sites. After that, we rarely saw each other. He came back only once in awhile. He usually didn't tell us what he had been doing to expose the persecution. Only when the news came that he was arrested for intercepting TV signals did we know that he was one of the pioneers who broadcast the truth of Falun Gong on Chinese TV.
Liu Chengjun has left us --his fellow practitioners, his family, and his friends. Using his own life, he has acted according to the highest standards, has resisted the evil, and awakened the general public.

(Clearwisdom.net) I recently relocated to another city for a new job. I got in touch with an old classmate from primary school. When I began to clarify the truth to him, I discovered he already understood about the persecution, and had even more inside news since his brother works in the National Security Bureau.
He shared information rarely heard by the public. When I saw recent articles written by practitioners outside China that exposed the crimes committed by agents from the Chinese National Security Bureau to practitioners outside China, I felt it was necessary to write down what I know to expose the persecution of Falun Dafa and practitioners by the Chinese National Security Bureau.
Usually, when practitioners from outside China are arrested, they are quickly released because it is not politically acceptable to detain them long with their foreign passports. There are two situations typically experienced by practitioners from outside China. Those who have unshakable belief in Teacher usually get deported because the Bureau realizes the only thing they will get is negative publicity around the world if they wrongly imprison the citizens of other countries. And then there are those who are attached to fear. Since they live abroad, they may not know the extent of the persecution in China. Under great pressure, experiencing brutal persecution themselves, they may lose their righteous thoughts due to attachments to sentimentality and material benefits they cannot let go. After endless interrogation and constant brainwashing by one security agent after another, they not only write the so-called "statement of regret" and "statement of guarantee", but also tell everything they know from outside China. Some even continue to provide information after they return to their home country. There are two reasons they do this. One is because their family members or the interest of their property in China are threatened. The other reason is that the agents blackmail them to serve for the Chinese National Security Bureau, threatening to expose the documents they signed and the information they provided to the agents under coercion.
Practitioners in China face a tougher situation. National security agents all over China have obtained very detailed information regarding local Falun Dafa practitioners. Some practitioners' phones have been tapped for a long time providing a record of practitioners' phone calls for several years and much information they use to target the persecution more effectively. They know who contacted whom, where they met, etc. They monitor practitioners' cell phones, pagers, and telephones for a long time and gather these details when practitioners share information with other practitioners. They can also see what practitioners browse on the Internet via cable or phone. If practitioners don't place enough importance on the issue of security, the evil can take advantage of this loophole.
Many practitioners feel pretty safe. Some have been followed by spies for quite a while without being arrested. But we should not be careless. As a practitioner they choose to follow, they may trail you for half a year or even longer in an attempt to obtain more information about other practitioners. They have been doing this the whole time.
The most contemptible thing that the National Security Bureau does is to interrogate abducted practitioners day and night, taking advantage of those who do not let go of their attachments. They not only get the information they want, but also force some of the practitioners to act as their agents and to collect information among practitioners about things such as truth-clarifying material sites. Usually, it is easy to distinguish people who have betrayed their belief after brainwashing at prison, forced labor camp or detention center, since what they say is full of lies, and practitioners won't tell them anything useful. But agents that have been trained are hard to recognize. They read the books, and say something that sounds right while communicating with practitioners, to confuse them. These corrupt individuals that damage Dafa cannot truly understand Dafa or practitioners at any level, and will eventually show their true colors.
The most difficult to distinguish are those who have been brainwashed. Everyone around them knows they learned Dafa and practiced Dafa, so when they come back to do damage from inside, it is very hard to tell. Some of them may do this under pressure and against their will, mainly because they cannot let go of their attachments to life and death. Others may follow the evil instructions willingly. How can we distinguish them? Do not judge a person by how long he has studied Dafa or how much prestige he has gained among practitioners. To measure whether a person is good or bad depends on his xinxing, and on how much he has assimilated to Dafa. Those who are taken advantage of by the evils and damage Dafa will certainly be far away from Dafa. The Fa is diminished in their minds. We should be wary of those who do not study the Fa for a long time, who don't talk from the perspective of the Fa, who do things not based on the Fa, and who are very active and visit many places, inquiring about the source of truth-clarifying materials.
It is said that thousands of agents and spies have been sent to North America to gather information on Falun Gong, not to mention those in China. They find out about relatives and friends of practitioners outside China, and threaten their personal safety or lure them with material interests to attract overseas practitioners back to China for arrest. Those who have been brainwashed and transformed are also used to lure overseas practitioners back. They have adequate manpower, equipment and money provided by Jiang Zemin to do these things. They use the most advanced instruments in monitoring Dafa practitioners. The evil cannot arrest those practitioners who act and think with righteous thoughts, but it can tape their phone calls and do damage through exposure.
There are some "part time" agents. The "610 Office" enrolls these people through "word of mouth" among relatives and friends, so it is not widely known. These people provide information about Falun Gong practitioners around them and get paid based on the value of their information. These people are quiet in society, may not show any attitude toward Falun Gong, and cannot be differentiated from their appearance.
When practitioners outside China write articles concerning persecution they experienced, they feel surprised and do not know why the evil knows so much about them. My purpose in writing this article is to expose the tactics used rather than say how powerful the evil is. As long as our field is righteous, the evil dares not enter, but practitioners who cannot let go of their attachments may experience persecution, which causes damage to Dafa. So, during the last stage of validating Dafa, we should do well the three things that Teacher requires of us. We should pay attention to the issue of security while studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth. In order to be responsible for the Fa, we must not let the evil take advantage of our carelessness and attachments.
Many people inside the National Security Bureau know some truth about Dafa, but do not have an overall understanding of Dafa. They act as tools to persecute Dafa under Jiang's abuse of power. The fact that the national security agents make full use of the most advanced equipment in persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners shows that Jiang is in his death throes. We hope fellow practitioners in all areas of China expose the phone numbers of national security agents, and the phone numbers of clerks working in the National Security Bureau, online. We also hope that practitioners outside China will make phone calls to these people and expose the evils they committed in their local area. Together we can eliminate the National Security Bureau's brutal persecution of Dafa.
Some people from the National Security Bureau have learned the truth and no longer follow Jiang's orders. If everyone in the National Security Bureau knew the truth, they would not deceive themselves or do any more damage. They are responsible for many things done to practitioners outside China, including monitoring, interfering, and collecting personal information. They have played a part in many persecution cases in China. I suggest that we collect information about the staff of the National Security Bureau and expose their crimes. I suggest that practitioners in and outside China work together to suffocate the evil with our righteous thoughts.

Zhang Jintong, born in November 1956, originally from Xiangcheng City, Henan Province, is a member of Nanyang City Committee and the Party Secretary of Nanyang City Political and Legal Committee.

Nanyang City Political and Legal Committee and "610 Office" Staff Members Extort Money from Falun Gong Practitioners
Staff members from Nanyang City Political and Legal Committee "610 Office" have held many brainwashing sessions to persecute and extort money from practitioners. Every time a brainwashing session was held, the executive officers would appropriate large amounts of public money for the operation of such sessions. These funds are hard-earned money paid by the people of the district. However, on top of these extensive funds the brainwashing facility staff members force practitioners to pay 30 yuan in the name of room and board even though they are detained against their wishes and do not volunteer for these classes. Every practitioner would be detained from 10 days to half a year. Practitioners would also need to pay so-called fines and guarantee funds. The staff members force practitioners to watch videos slandering Falun Dafa. There are also collaborators (former practitioners who have turned against Dafa as a result of brainwashing and torture) which join in the sessions spreading their evil enlightenment, and forcing practitioners to write guarantees promising not to cultivate anymore. They also forced practitioners to curse at Teacher, and force family members of practitioners' to pay the illegal fines. They do not release practitioners unless the money is paid.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Tian Xiaofei, 40, is a resident of Cuidong Street, in the Pingshan District of Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. He began cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998.
On February 28, 2002 Tian Xiaofei and his wife were arrested at their home in Zhuanshan, Pingshan District. The police confiscated a notebook computer, an inkjet printer, two copiers, a bankbook, and all possessions of any value. They also robbed him of twenty thousand Yuan* in cash they had been saving to buy truth-clarifying materials, and divided it up amongst themselves.
That night the couple was taken to the Pingshan Police Station, where Mr. Tian was beaten during interrogation. His arms were pulled behind him and burned on the hot burner of an electric stove. One of the policemen who tortured him is named Wang Tonggang. Tian's wife was also brutally tortured before she was released, and the police later extorted ten thousand Yuan from her.
Tian Xiaofei went on a hunger strike to protest his detention. After seven days of continuous torture and interrogation, he was sent to Benxi City Detention Center.
In November 2002 the Pingshan District Court secretly sentenced Tian Xiaofei to ten years in Huazi Prison, in Liaoyang City.
On July 20, 2003 Falun Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained in Huazi Prison began a hunger strike. People around the world expressed their concern upon hearing this news, and overseas practitioners placed telephone calls to the prison to extend their moral support. Under the spotlight of such righteous condemnation and support, the prison administration was forced to change its tactics of persecution, and now attempts to cover up the truth.
When Mr. Tian first entered the prison, the police beat him for refusing to wear the prison uniform. Since he first began enduring the inhuman torture, his face has remained disfigured. Tian Xiaofei is locked in solitary confinement, with two prisoners closely monitoring him around the clock, and he is forced to sleep with both hands cuffed to the bed. He is still on the hunger strike he began in July. His health is deteriorating from the torturous forced-feedings he endures four or five times each day. He has now become so emaciated that when his family came to visit him, he required the assistance of several people in order to walk. To cover up their crimes of torture, the prison administration now refuses all visitors, and has said they will not allow him any medical parole for treatment of his internal injuries until all of his internal organs are totally malfunctioning.
Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Wang Jiangning from Shenyang City, is also known to be detained in Huazi Prison and has been on a hunger strike for more than five months, but no further details are known.

(Clearwidsom.net) Dafa practitioner Du Likun from Handan City, Hebei Province was arrested by the police while distributing truth-clarifying flyers on the night of December 10, 2003. She was sent to the First Detention Center in Handan City by the policemen from the Kaiyuan Police Station in Hanshan District.
On October 1, 2000, Du Likun, along with her mother Yang Fenglian, went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. After they came back, Du Likun was illegally imprisoned in the Second Handan City Detention Center. She was only 16 years old at the time. Because she did not want to give up practicing Falun Gong, Cui Shumin, the chief of the 2nd detention center and Wang Cunyin, the second-in-command, shackled her hands and feet and shocked her repeatedly with electric batons. These tortures caused tremendous harm to the young girl both mentally and physically. Her family spent over ten thousand yuan to get her released. Her mother was sentenced to one year in Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.
The day before the Sixteenth Party Congress Meeting in 2002, several carloads of officers from the Hanshan District Public Security Bureau of Handan City and policemen from the Kaiyuan Police Station drove to Du Likun's home. The police tried to break into her house but she and her mother resisted and refused to open the door. The police then used a crane to raise themselves up to the sixth floor. They broke into the home through a window and abducted Du Likun and her mother. Her family spent three thousand yuan to get Du Likun released on bail. When she returned home she found that she had been expelled from school.
The police tortured Yang Fenglian with electric batons, shocking her so badly that her face, head and all four limbs remained horribly swollen for a long time. Later on Yang Fenglian was sent to a detention center. She was detained there for about ten months until August 2003 when she was released on bail. Her family was fined 3000 Yuan. However, one month later Yang Fenglian was again abducted by several scoundrels from her workplace and taken to the Handan City Brainwashing Center. Yang Fenglian went on a hunger strike to protest but was tortured by force-feeding. The head of the Handan "610 Office" (a government agency operating outside Chinese law and charged with eliminating Falun Gong) then colluded with the Shijiazhuang Brainwashing Center to send Yang Fenglian there for further torture. Yang Fenglian continued her hunger strike. The brainwashing center officials tortured her until it seemed she might die.
Du Likun is now in custody and her mother Yang Fenglian is in a life-threatening situation due to the torture she is enduring at the brainwashing center. It seems ironic that Jiang Zemin should declare this time to be China's best period for human rights ever, when a mother and her teenage daughter are being deprived of the basic rights of freedom and safety. We wish that all of the kind and righteous people will do even more to support our efforts to stop the persecution of these good people who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."
The Kaiyuan Police follow Jiang's lead by participating in the persecution of Dafa. They frequently confiscate Dafa practitioners' private property, brutally beat practitioners, fine practitioners, and imprison practitioners without fixed terms. Dafa practitioners have used various means to clarify the truth to the police but the police still adhere stubbornly to their misguided course.

My name is Li Yongxiu. I live in apartment #1 in the dormitory district of Factory 5701 in Chengdu City. Before the persecution started, I was a worker at the 8.1 Factory. I would like to expose the cruel crimes perpetrated against my family members and myself by Jiang's regime and their cohorts in Factory 5701.
Mistreatment Suffered for Using Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights
After Jiang launched the large-scale brutal persecution of Falun Gong, I went to Beijing to make use of my constitutional right to appeal on December 2, 1999. I was returned home by people from the Cuqiao Police Station and detained there for 15 days. While at the Cuqiao Police Station, I was illegally searched and a cash amount of 500 Yuan was confiscated from me without a receipt. The cash has not yet been returned to me. On December 21, 1999, Director Huang from the Integrated Management Office of the Cuqiao Town Administration forced me to pay a fine of 4,150 Yuan. On December 28, 1999, I was placed under house arrest and had to report to the Retirement Office at Factory 5701 daily.
On December 12, 1999, I was dismissed from my job at the 8.1 Factory because I had gone to appeal in Beijing. The people who caused my dismissal were the party secretary and president of the factory, Min Zhiyun, and the directors of the workshop Feng Suzhen and Li Zuozhong. At the same time, I was also deprived of my retirement benefits. I was told there would not be any benefits for the people who lose their jobs due to practicing Falun Gong.
On March 19, 2001, policeman Ye Changju from the Cuqiao Police Station sent me to the brainwashing center. I refused to give up my beliefs and was therefore brutally beaten. Participants in this torture included people from the 610 Office of Wuhou District and the secretary of Factory 5701, Tang Yuanxing, the director of the Security Bureau, Dong Yongxi, Assistant Director Zhang Huanzhi, head of the squad, Zhou Heping, and Yang Rongjiang from the Retirement Office.
Forced Divorce
I am a Falun Gong practitioner but my husband is not. However, Factory 5701 not only canceled his scheduled salary raises but also decreased his salary. On January 14, 2002, policemen from the Wuhou District Police Station, the local police station and Factory 5701 raided my house to arrest me for posting Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. At that time, my son was the only person home. He refused to open the door for them and they were not able to apprehend me. They asked for my husband to come to the factory for a conference and announced that he was not allowed to come to work. They told him that he could not come back to work until he was divorced. They further told him that I would no longer be allowed to live in Factory 5701 after the divorce and if anyone found me in the factory, my husband would be charged with providing shelter for a criminal. Thus, so my husband and son could avoid "guilt by association," we were divorced, and a happy, harmonious family was broken apart.
Brutally Tortured for Being True to My Belief
On July 9, 2000, I attended an Experience Sharing Conference close to the Police Bureau of Pengzhou City during a visit to my mother's house. I was arrested and detained for over 20 days. On February 18, 2002, I went to my mother's house again. A group of people headed by director Yuan of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Penzhou City and Li Yijun from the Longfeng Town searched my mother's house and left it a complete mess. They arrested me and took me to a police station. They brutally tortured me by punching, kicking, beating me with barbed sticks, whipping me with four electric wires, exposing me to the hot sun, forcing me to do hard labor, and beating me with a nettle plant (a plant with toxic hairs on leaves and stems, which cause extreme pain and itching).
Later, I escaped using righteous thoughts. More than 20 policemen and a company of soldiers searched everywhere for me. They searched my mother's house twice and I had no choice but to become homeless.
The persecutors include Min Zhiyun, the Party Secretary and the president of the Factory 5701, Feng Suzhen and Li Zuozhong, directors of the workshop.

(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Weiyu is a Ph.D student of Qinghua University. On August 12, 2002 he was abducted by the National Security Bureau while away on business. After he had been illegally detained for 14 months by the National Security Bureau, he was then transferred to the Chaoyang District Detention Center in Beijing around October 2003.
In October 2003, Wang Weiyu's "file" was handed to the prosecutor's office. Because there was not enough evidence against him, it was returned to the Ministry of Public Security. Recently, it has been heard that Wang Weiyu's "file" has again been handed to the court. The court is probably going to bring him to trial illegally, but the name of the judge who will take the case has not yet been confirmed.
The Procurator in charge of Wang Weiyu's case is: Ms. Zhang Dongqing (pronounced: JAHNG-DOHNG-CHING). She is the prosecutor of the Chaoyang District People's Prosecutor's Office in Beijing. Her telephone number is: 86-10-65061291
Mr. Wang Weiyu, 30 years old, began his Ph.D courses in Delicate Instruments and Mechanical Devices in 1996. He has acquired several excellent student awards. After he graduated from Qinghua University with a Bachelors degree he was exempted from taking exams and immediately began studying Ph.D courses. In September and October of 1999, because he attended a Falun Gong' experience sharing meeting, he was illegally detained by the Qinghua local police station two times. He was physically abused and forced to squat for 4 to 5 hours, and also interrogated by force until midnight. Afterwards, he was forced to stop his studies for more than 4 months. He was not able to start studying again until June of 2000. On July 22, 2000, while he was chatting with other people in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, he was arrested by the police without a reason and detained for a week. In the second half of 2000, he was forced to leave school to avoid further persecution. In August of 2002, he was secretly abducted by the special agents of the National Security Bureau at his work place.
(Clearwisdom.net) Over the past four years, Falun Gong practitioners inside and outside of China have published countless articles on Clearwisdom.net revealing the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. While reading the facts of the persecution, I often ponder how we can clarify the truth about the persecution from the perspective of one of the world's hottest topics -- economics.
Shall we start debating over the real state of China's economy with economic theories? For example, when someone claims that China is on its way to the prime of economic prosperity, shall we publish articles that say the opposite? When someone publishes statistics from questionable sources that show China's economic growth, shall we find other statistics that show the opposite? While it is necessary to continue these efforts to help people wake up from the myth of China's economic growth, we must also reveal the dark, hidden sources of China's economic revenue to western societies.
I have noticed that western human rights organizations often have special awareness-raising programs. If you pay enough attention, you will often find all kinds of awareness programs, awareness days, or awareness projects around you. This gave me an idea. Why not create truth-clarification materials for western societies that raise awareness of the dark factors behind China's apparent economic success? As a start, I think enslavement would make a good topic for an awareness-raising project.
An article could read as follows: Enslavement in Forced Labor Camps:
The forced labor camp is a machine of corporate fascism. With an endless supply of enslaved Falun Gong practitioners and no worries about their availability, the captive workforce is driven to the limit, regardless of whether the incarcerated practitioners are sick, disabled from being beaten, or weakened by the intolerable conditions. There is no concern for living conditions because any improvement in the conditions would subtract from profits. Illegally incarcerated Dafa practitioners are simply treated as objects from which to extract the maximum amount of labor, to be discarded when worn-out, and replaced with new ones.
As for writing these truth-clarification articles, there have been some good suggestions published on Clearwisdom.net. I was most inspired by the following sentence from one of the articles: "We should be able to convince our readers that our articles are completely truthful even when they are enveloped by Jiang Zemin's poisonous deceit."
I would like to add one more thing to the list of suggestions. I don't think we should just describe the facts of the enslavement of Dafa practitioners in arbitrary order. We might have difficulty in attaining our goal of helping our readers step out of their conventional thinking if we write like this. People in western societies are highly influenced by empirical science, and always have to have evidence placed right in front of them before they start to consider the issue seriously. When it comes to the task of clarifying the truth about the persecution to western societies, we often have difficulty making progress because westerners tend to judge the severity of the persecution by the number of verifiable victims. This criterion makes it harder for them to awaken, because the Chinese Communist government maintains a tight information barrier, making it difficult to obtain accurate statistics of the actual number of victims in this persecution. Because of the information barrier, we must try to work on the "quality" of the truth-clarification articles instead of publishing a large "quantity" of articles. Each article revealing the persecution should be more powerful than 10,000 strictly empirical articles. No matter how much information Jiang Zemin's regime is hiding from the world or how many lies it has manufactured, the readers will know the truth about Falun Gong and about the persecution against Falun Gong after reading just one well written article revealing the persecution.
Although we should try to include all information relevant to a documented case of persecution, we do not necessarily have to wait until every piece of information is available to write an article about it. In other words, one does not necessarily need to include the six W's, namely, who, what, when, where, why and how, though it is ideal to do so. It would be a good idea to also include illustrations and photographs.
I have noticed that our fellow practitioners generally provide more complete descriptions of torture methods than of enslavement practices. They sometimes even forget to mention what types of products the practitioners were forced to produce. It was as though they did not consider enslavement to be a type of torture. It is my humble opinion that this has been a loophole in our truth-clarification work.
I think it is high time we raised the awareness the people of western societies have of the human rights violations against Falun Gong practitioners in China. It is important to bring to their attention the fact that their daily lives have become a part of the persecution food chain, because enslaved Falun Gong practitioners are forced to produce export products that they consume. Especially when there are a lot of economic ties between China and western countries, it is absolutely crucial that we present to western societies a large number of facts of enslavement in Chinese forced labor camps. Meanwhile, publishing articles about enslavement practices containing the torturers' names, cities, provinces, and contact information will shock these perpetrators and hopefully deter them from their vicious activities. I believe this may reduce or even eliminate enslavement in forced labor camps. I hope that western countries will place economic pressure on China as an approach to oppose enslavement. If possible, we may suggest to the EU, the United States, Canada, Australia and other democratic countries that they impose humanitarian taxes on China's export products. China is unlikely to place humanitarian taxes on western countries in revenge because western countries ban enslavement.
I would like to remind fellow practitioners again to include details of the time, place, names of persecutors and their victims, and a complete description of the event when documenting a case of enslavement. It would be a good idea to include the anguish of the victims, the environment and conditions they have to live in, and the brutalities they are subjected to. As I mentioned earlier, one should ideally include information that covers the six W's; namely who, what, when, where, why and how.
One report from the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong documents how many prisons and forced labor camps in China who are interested in securing work contracts from manufacturers will send out printed advertisements that clearly say the contractor is "XX Prison" or "YY Forced Labor Camp." And the main selling point in their advertisements is "free laborers." If you come across a similar advertisement, please try to take a photograph of it, and mark when you saw it, in which city and province, and which organisation it had been delivered to.
Some labor camp products are even produced exclusively for China's Public Security Bureau. Our sources in China indicate that the safety nets found in Chinese taxi cabs are usually manufactured via slavery. It may appear that they are manufactured by a normal enterprise, but such an enterprise is actually owned by the relatives of the top-level leaders in the Public Security Bureau or State Security Bureau to mask their illegal enslavement business. There are many other products in China that are manufactured via slavery, including cheap handcrafted products, food, toys, machinery, home appliances, and furniture. If you come across a product that is priced way below the market price, it is likely that it was because of free labor. In other words, it is very likely that illegally incarcerated and persecuted Falun Gong practitioners were forced to make this product with their blood and sweat in a forced labor camp or prison.

Clarification
On April 22, 1999, we learned that a so-called "academician," He Zuoxiu, had published an article that distorted the facts and slandered Falun Gong in the magazine Extensive Reading for Young People in Science and Technology. We then went to Tianjin Education College, the publication's sponsor. The practitioners who learned this news earlier had already been there for several days. On April 22, the number of Dafa practitioners had reached seven to eight thousand. That same day, it was said that the college had already admitted that they were mistaken and were discussing methods of solving the problems with representatives of the practitioners.
On April 23, Dafa practitioners still sat peacefully around the buildings and anticipated the situation would be solved peacefully. At that time, there were so many Dafa practitioners. In order not to make trouble for the college, they did not use the restrooms inside. Instead, they used a very small public restroom very far away, forming a long line. When it was close to noon and I passed the gate, and saw a practitioner talking with several other practitioners, so I went there to listen. This male speaker was in his fifties. When he talked, he shed excited and happy tears. He said he saw that Teacher's law body looked like a mountain in height and sat at this position at the college gate and auspiciously and mercifully protected these practitioners who came here to clarify the truth. I listened while I shared his happiness.
The day had gone, but we did not obtain the decision of how the college would redress this slander. When the sun set that afternoon and before the police did their evil deeds, a sacred Falun rotated, starting from the front door and revolving around the buildings across half a circle. The applause resounded wherever the Falun arrived. What an exciting and sacred time! In order not to affect the college's order, some Dafa practitioner suggested that when we saw the Falun again we should just perform Heshi instead of applauding.
When it gradually became dark, several hundred riot police appeared. They shouted propaganda through a loudspeaker and asked everybody to evacuate immediately. At that time, Dafa practitioners began to recite "On Buddha Law" (preface of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong). Seven to eight thousand Dafa practitioners all recited it simultaneously. The might of Dafa repressed the entire universe. The evil people were controlled by the righteous thoughts and were startled. After several minutes, a massive number of police officers had gathered. They began to clear the area with violence, but Dafa practitioners all did the sitting meditation in the lotus position and did not move. With four policemen forming a group, they grabbed practitioners' hands or legs and dragged them outside. A heavyset female practitioner of over 50 years of age was dragged by four people while her buttocks were scratched by the ground. Her pants almost fell down as she passed in front of me.
Testifying
In the early morning of April 25, 1999, I arrived in Beijing. I appealed peacefully for the unfair treatment to Falun Gong and practitioners, because not only did the event in Tianjin not result in a reasonable solution, the police actually brutally beat the practitioners and arrested more than 40 of them.
In the beginning, I was near the Appeal Office which was north of Fuyou Street. Later, a local practitioner found me and asked whether I dare enter Zhongnanhai (Chinese central government compound) to testify for Falun Gong as a witness of the event in Tianjin. I said, "Do you need to ask?" This is what every genuine practitioner should do. I came to the street opposite Zhongnanhai's main entrance (the west gate) following the practitioner. I had a short exchange with a Dafa practitioner lawyer who was going to enter Zhongnanhai. Although we did not know each other, our hearts actually linked together as we were in the Fa.
I then saw Premier Zhu come out of the front door of Zhongnanhai. The premier stopped seven to eight plainclothes security people following him with his hands and directly moved towards us. The scene was very auspicious and rational. Everybody's innermost feelings were peaceful and extremely tranquil. The premier stopped and conversed with Falun Gong practitioners around 20 meters from me to the south. I could hear their voices but I was not able to hear clearly what they were saying. When practitioners applauded, we also applauded.
April 25th demonstrated Dafa practitioners' peaceful and rational style, which also marked the beginning of our validating the Fa as Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. As a particle of Dafa, we must each testify for Dafa forever. Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance are good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!
Pouring Energy into the Top of the Head
One day during the severe winter of 1998, I carried a tape recorder to the practice spot and practiced with other people in a group as usual, which was at a square in front of a bank. It was very cold, but everyone still kept coming every day, taking hardship as joy, feeling harmonious and happy. We practiced the sitting meditation and then we began to practice the four sets of movements the same as every day. I then had a thought that was very pure and righteous. Although I closed both of my eyes, I really felt Teacher's law body approaching me, feeling just like the sun getting nearer and nearer. My whole body felt warm. It is very difficult to describe that kind of feeling with human language. I could only say I bathed in the Buddha's light as it shined everywhere and was in the Buddha's infinite grace. I truly felt Teacher's law body was less than one meter in front of me. I was completely immersed in a happiness that I never truly felt before. A current of heat flowed into the top of my head, and passed through my whole body. As it poured into my body, my tears could not stop flowing. Although the process of the warm current passing through my whole body lasted less than one minute, the feeling of being bathed in the Buddha's infinite grace and my resulting happy tears lasted half an hour until I finished the second exercise. At that time, I felt that I was the happiest being in the universe.

(Clearwisdom.net) After July 20,1999 when the persecution of Falun Dafa began, the number of Dafa practitioners coming to Beijing to appeal for the Fa was ever increasing. Wherever they stayed, in urban or suburban hotels, in temporary rental apartments, in parks, at bus stops, or train stations, thousands of practitioners from all over the country were interrogated, arrested and detained as soon as they arrived.
The Changan Boulevard, Tiananmen Square, in front of the National Appeals Bureau and the intersections of all main streets in Beijing were filled with policemen. Group after group, no sooner had Dafa practitioners stepped into the gate of the National Appeals Bureau or on Tiananmen Square, they were arrested, thrown into waiting police cars, and driven away. Back then in Beijing, practitioners could hardly find any safe place to stay.
Therefore many of my fellow practitioners and I decided to go to the Jiulong (Nine Dragon) Mountain near Mentougou, a place close to Beijing. As soon as we settled down there, we found that numerous practitioners from all over the country were already there.
In this relatively relaxed environment, we exchanged experiences, communicated with each other, and helped each other to improve. Day after day, we guided groups of practitioners uphill and sent groups of them downhill to appeal for the Fa and to validate the Fa.
Our hearts were very pure. We had only one thought, which was to validate the Fa and safeguard the Fa in an open and dignified manner without getting arrested.
In this temporary but special group, we were encouraging each other to have indestructible faith in Dafa. The righteous words and behavior of fellow practitioners and their courage to give up everything for the Fa helped others to find their own shortcomings and to purify and elevate their own hearts.
In this mountainous area, it easily took a few hours just to fetch water and to buy food. It was also necessary to watch for the movements of the police. To minimize problems, everyone tried their best not to drink too much and to leave a small piece of cold, hard flour bun for the next meal. Though nobody could possibly wash or brush their teeth, everyone looked neat and energetic.
Since it was necessary for four or five people to sleep together inside each tent the size of a double bed, everyone had to sleep half sitting up. To stretch one's legs, one had to raise one's abdomen in order not to wake up others. Nobody attempted to toss or turn, in order to leave more room for other practitioners.
At dawn, we went downhill to fetch water and buy food. In the evening when some practitioners failed to come back, we anxiously searched the distance from a high place, without feeling hungry or thirsty until it was dark.
One dark night, practitioners were lying next to each other, listening to the cold wind, and slowly falling asleep. Suddenly someone shouted in the valley, "Fellow practitioners, police are searching the mountain!" Everyone woke up.
Later we learned that the policemen were approaching that practitioner's tent when he shouted and exposed his identity because he wanted to send a signal to other practitioners to save us. What he was thinking about at that moment was not his own safety, but that of many other practitioners.
This happened on October 28, 1999. On that day, we all walked to Tiananmen Square to meditate and practice! The practitioner who warned us was later illegally sent to a forced labor camp but was the first to be released ahead of schedule. He overcame many kinds of atrocities and walked out in an open and dignified manner. Four years later, his earthshaking shouts are still so clear to me as if it had happened yesterday.
(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I know that Dafa is suffering injustice and that Teacher is being slandered. Depending on my righteous belief, and with righteous thoughts in mind, I went to Beijing on Oct 1, 2002. On Tiananmen Square I unfurled a banner, "Falun Dafa is Good," and declared: "Falun Dafa is good: Restore Dafa's name, Restore our Teacher's name!" Under Teacher's protection I safely returned home.
One day during the 16th National Party Congress, I was on my way home from visiting my daughter's home next door. A police van approached from the east. When I entered the yard, the van suddenly stopped at my house and seven or eight police got out of the van. I was a little bit nervous, but immediately thought, "I am a Dafa practitioner and I have not come for persecution but to offer salvation to others." I told myself that I must calm down, and I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts. The police separated into two groups and went toward the front and back rooms respectively. The police who went toward the back room didn't find me standing by the 2-meter-high far back wall, so I conveniently hid nearby. The police turned the place inside out for over half an hour, yet they didn't find anything and went away.
(Clearwisdom.net) One night this past September, four of us Dafa practitioners went to the remote countryside to distribute truth-clarifying materials. After entering the village, one practitioner and I went to hang up banners; the two female practitioners delivered truth-clarifying materials to each home.
They had just finished passing materials out at a few houses, when suddenly a person came out of one of the houses, stopped the two women and spoke very loudly, "What are you doing? What did you throw into my yard?" These two practitioners had a very friendly attitude and started to clarify the truth to this villager who at first wouldn't listen at all. His loud voice could have awakened the whole village. While these two practitioners kept clarifying the truth, the other practitioner and I adjusted our state of mind and started to send forth righteous thoughts together from not far away. The voice of the villager became lower and lower, till he finally stopped talking. The only thing we could hear by then were the voices of our practitioners clarifying the truth. When the practitioners finished talking, the villager said, "I've got it! You go ahead and deliver these materials! You should definitely hand them out in the village."
The two female practitioners came back safely and met us. Together, we delivered the rest of the materials to each door.
The Truth Has Rooted Deeply in People's Hearts
One morning early this December, I was waiting for someone in a cleaning shop run by one of our practitioners. A middle-aged man in his 40's came in, bringing some pants for cleaning. I was just bringing up the issue of Falun Gong to him to clarify the truth, when the man instead started to clarify the truth to us. "Who said that Falun Gong is not good? I have a female neighbor who is severely ill. The hospital had ¡®sentenced her to death' with no hope for a cure. After she was introduced to the practice of Falun Gong, she became cured. It's not like at all what they said on TV! Falun Gong is miraculous! Jiang doesn't do anything good. He does great harm to the people!"
Listening to these words, the other practitioner and I smiled with understanding. More and more people are realizing the truth, and Jiang's lies will no longer be able to deceive people's minds.

(Clearwisdom.net) In a small village of a county in Liaoning Province, there is a Falun Dafa study group. Regardless of wind or rain, heat or cold, or even during the time when the lies poured down from the sky, practitioners there have always been studying the Fa together, sending forth righteous thoughts, thinking and acting righteously, and clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to the people there with their own experiences.
Mr. Huang is a practitioner who is almost 60 years old. He used to be quite weak and suffered many kinds of illnesses, thus he had to rely on medication all year around. However, after practicing Falun Gong, many of his illnesses have disappeared, and now, he is a very healthy person with a good complexion. Once, he joined a volunteer project of digging holes for planting trees in the village. The Party Secretary of the village praised him in front of the others, "It would be nice if everybody were like Mr. Huang who does things so well voluntarily. Without anybody supervising him, he has dug holes of perfect standard. Falun Gong is truly magnificent."
All the villagers there like to see a doctor and purchase medicine at a clinic run by Dafa disciples. They said, "Falun Gong practitioners never cheat. We feel safe buying medicine from you. You don't sell fake medicine. Especially during emergencies at midnight sometimes, and even when the patients were several miles away over the hills, the practitioners never say 'no.' They are on call anytime. Falun Dafa is really great!"
On July 20, 1999, when the local police came to arrest the Dafa disciples, the disciples said calmly, "We practice Falun Gong and never did bad things. We just try to be good people. All of you police know about this. Have any one of us practitioners brought you any trouble? Have any of us stolen from anybody? No. Right? We pay the agricultural tax fully on time and attend every volunteer activity in the village; we have license plates and all the documents for our motorcycles, and how about yours? In addition, we never steal or cheat or ask for money or do anything immoral. Isn't it all right to be a good person?" After hearing these words, the police repeatedly said, "It's quite all right to be a good person. We will not bother you anymore, not anymore..." The police came to know the truth about Falun Gong after we told them the facts. As a result, we have incurred less and less interference as well.
It's a Heavenly Law that "Good is rewarded with good and evil meets evil." In 2003, there were many natural disasters in the other parts of the country, like the SARS outbreak, droughts, floods, hailstorms, earthquakes, locust havoc etc. However, bathing in the Buddha-light, this small village and the nearby area had a big harvest with good weather all year around, seldomly seen in the recent years. The kind villagers there have been well rewarded by Heaven.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of November 30, 2003, in Guankou Township, Xishui County, Hubei Province, people saw truth-clarifying posters all over the streets and lanes, including township government buildings, street police stations and rural areas around the township. The posters read, "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice in the World," "Bring the Head of Terrorists Luo Gan to Justice," "Falun Dafa is Good" and so on. Dafa truth-clarifying materials were placed by the doors or entrances to almost all the residential dwellings, farmer's homes, and business units. A special scene could viewed on top of a 70-meter tall mobile communication's tower, where a a big fabric banner had been hung reading, "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice in the World." The banner was on display until 3:30 pm the second day.
This event became shocking and rapidly spreading local news. The scene attracted about 3000 residents, and nearby farmers gathered around the tower to watch. It also attracted several hundred people passing by to stop and watch. Because this township is located on the main traffic path between two counties, there were many vehicles passing by and some vehicles also stopped. The passengers of buses stuck their heads out of the windows to watch. One official said, "Falun Gong practitioners are incredible. The tower is so high that nobody would dare to climb up even during daytime. How did they hang the banner up in the night?"
On the same morning the police arrived at the scene, but none of them had any way to remove the banner. They called the county "610 office," but still they could not remove the banner. They offered a high price trying to find someone to remove the banner, but nobody wanted to do it. Some said, "I don't want to remove it. I am afraid of being paid with retribution." Finally, at about 3:30 pm of the second day they asked the county telecommunications department to send their workers to the scene to remove the banner. During the whole event, the topic that people talked about the most was that the society is so corrupt but nobody cares about it, and Jiang Zemin just focuses his wrath on a group of kindhearted people who practice Falun Gong.
Since July 20, 1999, Guankou Township has been an area where Dafa practitioners have been persecuted severely. The head of the township police station, Chen Shen, and policeman Nie Wei served as the hatchet men; they persecuted local Dafa practitioners with all means. As of now, two Dafa practitioners have been illegally sentenced to prison, seven have been sent to labor camps and over 20 have been detained. Many practitioners were forced to leave their homes, wandering about to avoid further persecution. The police have coerced and fined Dafa practitioners for more than 100,000 yuan.

(Clearwisdom.net) In December 2000, I was sent to the detention center for the second time. I protested by going on hunger strike. Several days later, I retrieved my copy of Zhuan Falun from the police. That same night, after I retuned to my room, my roommate was totally surprised to see a Falun Dafa book. One criminal who committed a business-related crime said, "Falun Gong has won!" Everyone took turns reading the book. Each read with great care and treasured the book very much.
I stayed there for another year. During this period of time, one aspect of my validating the Fa was through my kind actions, but the primary way was through the Dafa book. One to two hundred prisoners passed through the room. As they had too little to do, they were very happy to have a book to read. One prisoner could not fall asleep, so he would read one lecture every day. After finishing, he told me: "It is really like what you said. Falun Gong is great. After I read one lecture, I can sleep so well." Another liked to read the Fa together with me, with him reading one paragraph and me reading the next. Most interestingly, the head of the criminals in our room was also predestined and read Zhuan Falun at least three times. He would always tell new prisoners, "When you read Zhuan Falun, you need to sit straight, and read with a soft tone, not like what you are doing." Sometimes, when a new prisoner came in, he would talk with great pride, "Newcomer, come over here. Let me ask you, would you say Falun Gong is good or bad?" New prisoners were mostly poisoned by television propaganda and said that Falun Gong is bad. The head would laugh loudly and say, "Wrong. You will find out after you read the book." The officers of the detention center also knew the truth, but they pretended that they did not know. The righteous thoughts of Falun Dafa disciples suppressed many unrighteous elements.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in Hungary were shocked to learn that Changchun Falun Gong practitioner Liu Chengjun died from long term torture on December 26, 2003. On January 3, 2004 they commemorated Liu Chengjun in front of the Chinese consulate, and called for an immediate end to the persecution.
To inform the general public about the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong, Changchun Falun Gong practitioner Liu Chengjun and other practitioners successfully tapped into the Changchun cable TV network and broadcast Falun Gong truth-clarification videos on March 5, 2002. The broadcasts lasted between forty and fifty minutes and this amazing event allowed several million people to learn the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. After the Jiang regime's lies were suddenly exposed, people in the entire Changchun area were shocked. Since Jiang Zemin relies on lies to proceed with his persecution, this incident made him feel extremely scared. Thereby, he gave a secret order to "kill the responsible Falun Gong practitioners without pardon."
Afterwards, a killing spree was initiated in Jilin. 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Changchun and at least six were beaten to death. After Liu Chengjun was arrested on March 24, 2002, the police shot him in the legs, even after he was handcuffed and in custody. He was illegally sentenced to 19 years in prison. After being brutally tortured and abused in the prison for a year and nine months, Liu Chengjun passed away on December the 26th at Jilin University Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital. Eyewitnesses stated that Liu Chengjun's body had blood running from the nostrils, ears, thighs and other areas. On the day of his death, Mr. Liu's body was forcibly cremated without an autopsy. Liu Chengjun was the eighth confirmed Falun Gong practitioner to be tortured to death because of this TV network-tapping incident.
In mainland China, since the illegal persecution of Falun Gong began, the regime-controlled mass media has spared no effort in fabricating lies to frame and attack Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners. At the same time, the regime has spared no efforts in covering up the facts of the persecution; those who don't know the facts have been innocently poisoned by lies. Regardless of the terrifying consequences, Liu Chengjun and other Falun Gong practitioners risked their lives to broadcast the facts and resist the illegal persecution. They safeguarded man's basic rights to free speech and freedom of belief. Their peaceful approach in resisting the brutal persecution is a magnificent feat.
We must try our utmost to help more people learn the facts of the persecution and stop the persecution altogether. We are calling for the severe punishment of Jiang Zemin, since he is responsible for this persecution and is the prime culprit in the brutal murder of Liu Chengjun and many others. Jiang Zemin must be punished for the numerous crimes he has committed.

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 5 2002, programs were broadcast on eight channels of the Changchun cable TV network exposing the truth behind the self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square and showing Falun Dafa's worldwide acceptance and growth. The broadcasts lasted for forty to fifty minutes and this amazing event allowed many people to learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution; it had a great impact on people inside China as well as overseas Chinese. After the broadcasts, Jiang was infuriated and ordered a series of executions, as well as a secret order to "kill those responsible Falun Gong practitioners without pardon." All persons involved with the broadcast were arrested, as were 5000 other people. Liu Chengjun was one of those involved in the broadcast. According to a report from a Dafa website on December 28 2003, Liu Chengjun passed away at 4am on December, 26th at Jilin University Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital, after enduring cruel torture and abuse in prison for a year and nine months. That same day, a large police presence had assembled at the hospital and officials at Jilin Prison forcibly cremated Mr. Liu's body. The cremation was performed without an autopsy and against the family's wishes. Eyewitnesses stated that Liu Chengjun's body had blood running from the nostrils, ears, thighs as well as other areas.
In mainland China, Jiang's propaganda has prevented people from learning about the persecution. Broadcasting programs in China has safeguarded the citizens' rights to freedom of speech and belief and it has allowed many people to learn the facts. Liu Chengjun should be applauded as a human rights hero, who peacefully defended his faith and unveiled a web of deception spun by Jiang to hide his gross crimes against humanity. Mr. Liu used his life to clarify the facts to the public and to resist this evil persecution. History will remember the selfless and tremendous sacrifice Liu Chengjun has made for the world.

On the morning of January 4, 2004, Ipoh City, Perak State held a parade with the theme, "Bougainvillea," which is the city flower of Ipoh. 35 groups participated the 3.1 km long parade. Falun practitioners also participated and displayed the beauty of Dafa to Ipoh residence.
When Ipoh practitioners heard about the parade and started to contact the organizers, there were only 2 weeks left. Upon hearing the introduction of Dafa by practitioners, the person in charge of the parade dispatched staff to our practice site to learn more about Dafa. After this investigation, he accepted practitioners' application to participate in the parade. However, he was still very concerned whether practitioners could do well in their preparation in such a short time.
During the preparation, practitioners from other areas offered great help and support. Practitioners from Cameron Highlands provided a lot of fresh flowers. One day before the parade, practitioners from different areas came to decorate the float. Because practitioners worked together wholeheartedly, the decoration process was very smooth and finished swiftly.
Falun Gong practitioners' procession was the only group showing traditional Chinese culture. Many Ipoh Chinese residents were excited to see practitioners' float, Heavenly Maidens and "Falun Dafa is Good" banner. Along the parade procession, practitioners also distributed many Falun Gong truth-clarifying fliers.
(Clearwisdom.net) Nearly 8,000 people were invited to participate in London's annual Lord Mayor's New Year Parade on January 1st. This magnificent event was watched on television by people around the world. Falun Gong's performance was welcomed and praised.
To demonstrate the beauty of Dafa and let people know the facts about the persecution, Dafa practitioners decorated a float, dressed in traditional Chinese costumes and prepared colorful banners. They demonstrated traditional Chinese culture with two different types of performances: some practitioners played waist drums and many female practitioners performed a Chinese fan dance. A musician, who is also a practitioner, composed a special song that served as a basis for the Chinese waist drum performance.
Nearly one hundred unique performing groups participated in this parade. The Falun Gong group was appreciated as the only oriental performance and received applause from spectators as it passed. Using loudspeakers throughout the parade, the parade commentators introduced Falun Dafa as a practice based on Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and also talked about the award practitioners won at the Edinburgh Arts Festival in 2002 and 2003. As well as the practitioners marching in the parade, there were others who distributed information to the public.
The UK New Year's Parade in London has been held annually since 1987. It starts from Parliament Square, goes through Piccadilly Circus and ends up at the Ritz Hotel on Berkeley Street.

On January 3, North Taoyuan Dafa practitioners came to Dayuan Elementary School of Dayuan District to participate in the school's 100th anniversary celebration and demonstrate Falun Gong exercises.
Many parents of students as well as some famous figures in the local community came to participate in this event. Because Vice President Lu Hsiu-lien came to congratulate the anniversary, the school authorities deployed many police officers to direct traffic and keep order.
Accompanied by Falun Gong exercise music, Dafa practitioners entered the meeting place and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. People quickly calmed down, even though moments earlier they had been full of excitement from loud, stimulating music. The whole meeting place was filled with a serene atmosphere. During the event, many people, including a lot of young people, read the Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials with great interest.

It is said that this equipment can scan up to 10 kilometers in radius.
3. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] A Dafa Materials Site is Destroyed by Police in Wendeng City, Shandong Province
On August 27, 2003, a Dafa materials site in Yazitou Village, Shuanglong Street District, Wendeng City, Shangdong Province was destroyed by police. At the time, three female practitioners were arrested; all three of them are over 45 years old. The losses included a combo-printer, a cell phone, a pager, a TV set, a DVD player, 3 CD/Cassette players, 1,500 yuan as well as other daily necessities.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhang Jinlu is Detained at Tangshan City First Detention Center
On the evening of August 17, 2002, Mr. Zhang Jinlu, together with several other Dafa practitioners, packed equipment and paper in a car to move the material site to another place. Shortly after they moved their car, they were intercepted by the vice-chief Wang and several plain-clothes policemen from the Tangshan Public Security Bureau of Hebei Province. With strong righteous thoughts and taking advantage of the dark environment at the time, the practitioners all got away successfully. Afterwards the police found Zhang Jinlu's ID in the car and went to his home. They said if he could pay 50,000 yuan deposit he would not be arrested. Under pressure, Zhang's family paid 10,000 yuan, but the car was not returned. Police said if nothing else happened within one year, they would return the money. They didn't leave a receipt. On July 30, 2003 near the one year due date, the police tricked Zhang Jinlu to the Lubei Police Station, and then sent him to the Tangshan City First Detention Center.
On November 3, 2003, there was a trial at the Lubei Police Station for practitioners Guo Xiaohui, Zhang Yunping, An Zhengjie, Han Xueyu, Sun Jianzhong etc. These practitioners all rejected the illegal trial and refused to sign the paper. Police had to rush through the trial quickly. These practitioners have been detained at the Tangshan City First Detention Center since then.
5. [Luunan County, Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioner Qian Fajun Walks Out of Wangcun Forced Labor Camp with Strong Righteous Thoughts
After enduring more than nine months of persecution, Dafa practitioner Qian Fajun, from Luunan County, Linyi City in Shandong province, openly walked out of the vicious Wangcun Forced Labor Camp on November 15, 2003, and thus effectively validated the Fa.

One day a plumber came to a Dafa practitioner's home to repair the water taps. The practitioner started to clarify the truth about the self-immolation to him. The plumber said "My next door neighbor was right there at that time. He saw some staff of the Tiananmen Square were driving out the tourists and saying "Stand further back, we are making a program here." Then he saw a person on fire and heavy smoke. Later when he watched the Self-immolation program on Focal Point of state-run Chinese Central TV (CCTV) which is exactly what he saw at Tiananmen Square, he felt it ridiculous that the government and its media organization would act out these types of harmful tricks!

9. [Luunan County, Shandong Province] Record of Policeman Xu Hennian Persecuting Dafa Practitioners in Luunan County, Shandong Province
Xu Hennian is the former vice police chief at Yanma Village Police Station in Luunan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. In 2000, he verbally abused and insulted several elderly Dafa practitioners at Yanma Village. When he was interrogating Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Xuhua, Xu Hennian brutally punched Ms. Lu's chest causing Ms. Lu to fall from the seat and lose consciousness. Police had to use a small iron cart to move Ms. Lu to the detention center. Ms. Lu didn't regain consciousness until late that night. On February 17, 2003, Xu Hennian encountered Dafa practitioner Qian Fajun at a county fair. To get bystanders to help him capture practitioner Qian, Xu shouted that Qian was a murderer.
10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Some Prison Police at Shenyang City Dabei Second Prison Create Obstacles to Families Visiting Dafa Practitioners
Some prison police at the Dabei Second Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province required visiting Dafa family members to make a statement on Falun Gong and its founder. Those who say negative things are allowed in, those who say positive things or those who are practitioners are then deprived of their right to visit. Currently there are two known prison policemen who set such obstacles:
Zhang Lei, male, in his 30s, team leader, responsible for Dafa practitioners in the second unit,
A policewoman at the reception room, in her 30s, slightly chubby face, short hair, name unknown.
11. [Linyuan City, Liaoning Province] Record of Policeman Liu Jingkui Persecuting Dafa Practitioners
Liu Jingkui is a policeman at the Wanyuan Town Police Station, Linyuan City, Liaoning province. On October 25 and 26, 2003, Liu Jingkui led police to use force to arrest several Dafa practitioners. He used these practitioners as hostages to extort and threaten practitioners' families for huge "fines" while he conducted several home searches, searching for the source of Dafa materials. He claimed "no money, no release of Dafa practitioners." Later he found some Dafa material at one of the practitioner's homes, and became even more vicious and wild, torturing that practitioner for several days. Recently Wanyuan Town Police illegally arrested Dafa practitioners Wang Xinrong and Wang Guifeng in the same village and Wang Yujuan in Linyuan City. On November 1, 2003, Dafa practitioners Qiao Yanhua and Song Yalian were arrested by them while clarifying the truth in the village. They also fined those who have compromised and no longer practice Dafa several thousands yuan; otherwise they would not release them.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners have recently exposed the wicked deeds of those who are persecuting Falun Gong to the people in their local areas. They wrote open letters to the City Party Secretary, Wang Xiaoran, and the wife of the City National Security Division Head, Ma Zhefeng. As soon as the letter was composed, three events happened soon after:
Mayor Meng Weizhong had viciously persecuted Dafa practitioners. He frequently defamed Falun Dafa in his public speeches. When lawless personnel from Xiangcheng City inhumanly persecuted Dafa practitioners, Meng Weizhong many times took part in planning and plotting the abuses, mistreatments and torments. In June of 2001, Meng Weizhong, together with Tian Liang from the "610 Office"* and police officers Ma Zefeng, Zhou Qingwu, Wei Jianhua, Liu Yuqing from the Political and Security Division of Xiangcheng City, started carrying guns wherever they went to use in abducting Dafa practitioners. They searched homes and coerced people to give them money and other valuable belongings; they forced Dafa practitioners to become homeless to avoid being further persecuted, and they broke up and scattered many Dafa practitioners' families.
As it stands now, the original four persecutors, highly placed people within the Xiangcheng City government, cannot continue to fulfill their malicious duty of persecuting Falun Gong. The following people have been scattered: Wang Kefei, the head of the "610 Office," was transferred to Shangshui County; police department head Liu Guoqing, and the City Party Secretary Wang Xiaoran were also transferred out of Xiangcheng City, and Mayor Meng Weizhong received retribution by dying in a car accident.

Head of the Xinxian County Police Department in Shandong Province is Currently in a Vegetative State
Du Yuemin is the head of the Xinxian County Police Department in Shandong Province. Since he took power, he has put Falun Gong practitioners into forced labor camps, and punished practitioners with fines, torture and brainwashing. During his period of service, he ordered police to torture practitioner Wang Fengwei from the County Water Company to death. Without any investigation, he ordered the police to persecute people who practiced Falun Gong through abductions, sending them to prison, and applying brutal tortures and fines. Du's health has deteriorated severely, and he is now in a vegetative state.
Vicious Policeman in Shangsha City, Hunan Province, Dies in a Traffic Accident
Tian Peng, male, had been heavily involved in the persecution of Falun Gong during his period of service in the Shangsha City Police Department. His friends and relatives had repeatedly advised him to cease his vicious actions. However, he not only did not listen, but he answered them with bad words. After Tian was transferred to the Chengdu City Police Department, he became even crueler in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. He died in the summer 2003 from a traffic accident at the age of 31.
Duan Guofang of the Jinling Township Government in Zaoyuan, Shangdong Province, is in a Vegetative State
Duan Guofang of the Jinling Township Government in Zaoyuan brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners and actively participated in the operation of the town's brainwashing session. After surgery on a brain tumor failed, he is now in a vegetative state.
Guan Yuwu, Party Secretary of Yongji Street Committee in Jilin Province, Dies an Unnatural Death
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began, Guan Yuwu has repeatedly led the police to Dafa practitioners' homes to search for Dafa books and he has ordered practitioners to write the "guarantee letters" [these are statements to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners]. Specifically, when he learned of a certain Dafa practitioner going to Beijing to validate the Fa, he led the police to the practitioner's home to coerce and threaten his family and he extorted 4,500 yuan in cash from the family [500 yuan is equal to the average monthly salary of an urban worker in China]. While traveling with a policeman on the train heading home from Beijing, Guan pointed his finger right in a Dafa practitioner's face saying, "I just want to persecute you, I just want to ruin you. We stayed in an expensive hotel in Beijing, our transportation fee and living expenses are all out of your pocket." After coming back, the two men divided the rest of the money and put it in their own pockets. Finally, Guan still put the practitioner into a forced labor camp for one year. Shortly after July 2002, Guan Yuwu was stabbed to death by the husband of a woman with whom he had had an affair.
Editors' Note: Each time we publish news of this nature, we do so with heavy hearts. These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. In the process of destroying the lives of kind, law-abiding citizens, they have sealed their own fates and inevitably faced karmic retribution as punishment. If it weren't for Jiang's wicked orders, perhaps their fates would have been different.
