Veteran Cadre Resists the Persecution and Clarifies the Truth of Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) This story is about a Falun Dafa practitioner who was a veteran cadre in the army for fifty years and a leader who served the Party for fifty-eight years. After the persecution began against Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the police searched his home, taking away all his Falun Dafa books. This elderly gentleman went to the police station daily, asking for his books to be returned. He would clarify the facts to everyone he met. The police quietly returned the books to him in less than two months. They said, "Go away, go home and read your books!"

In the past four years, in order to avoid the persecution against Dafa, this practitioner has been homeless or at times just renting a room somewhere. On both sensitive days [national holidays and order dates of significance to the ruling party] and ordinary days he would bicycle around putting up truth clarification flyers everywhere. He sought out former superiors, old comrades-in-arms, coworkers and subordinates to tell them the facts about the persecution. He made phone calls, sent letters and took new truth clarification materials to his former village to hand to relatives. He believed they were all predestined people and none of them should be left out. This practitioner was illegally arrested and detained many times. On each occasion, he did not cooperate with the authorities and always maintained righteous thoughts throughout the difficulties.

During 2001, when the persecution was at the worst, this elderly gentleman of seventy-six years went to Beijing and stood on the Jinshui Bridge to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. He handed out truth clarification flyers and managed to return home safely. This practitioner lived a plain and simple life. He used all that he had to verify Dafa and to clarify the facts to save all people.
