Cases of Karmic Retribution in Gaocheng City, Hebei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) A detention center chief in Gaocheng City, Hebei Province was full of hatred
toward Dafa. During the time the Dafa practitioners in that county were
detained, he incited prisoners to beat them. In 2003, this detention center
chief died in a car accident. Li Wenwu, division chief of the Political and Security Section of a police
department, extorted huge sums of money from family members of Dafa
practitioners. In 2000, on his way to Beijing to escort Dafa practitioners back
who had gone there to appeal, he was involved in a car accident and received
injuries to his face. The principal of No. 2 Secondary School tried to coerce the Dafa
practitioners in the school to give up their Dafa cultivation. The principal was
later removed from his post. The former principal of No. 4 Secondary School was hostile toward Dafa and
publicly slandered Dafa during meetings. Not long after he fell and broke his
leg. The Village party branch secretary for Gangshang village and the head of the
women's association participated in the persecution of Dafa practitioners in the
village. These two fined and punished Dafa practitioners to do unpaid work. In
the end, the village secretary was diagnosed with diabetes while the head of
women's association suffered from gastric disease. January 1, 2004 Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic
retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions,
is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic
of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward
actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating,
torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another
way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due
retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of
this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who
persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires
that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by
reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution. |
