More Information Regarding the Death of Practitioner Ms. Long Gang from Tongliang County, Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) On two occasions Ms. Long Gang, a female Falun Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City, went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa. Due to her legal appeals, she was illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and was held at the Wulidian Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp situated in Chongqing City. In order to protest against the persecution against her, she conducted a hunger strike. As a result, the police of the Forced Labor Camp brutally force-fed her, but instead of properly guiding the tube down her esophagus they mistakenly forced it down her trachea and into her lungs. The tube perforated her lung, which endangered her life and caused her to be in critical condition. In order to shirk their responsibility, the forced labor camp personnel claimed that she had contracted tuberculosis and asked her family to take her home. After she returned home, her health gradually improved. However the County Public Security Bureau of Tongliang ordered some people from Anju Town to detain Long Gang in the brainwashing center at a detention center. Once she was detained there, she was tortured for four months, leading to a rapid decline in the state of her health. The "610 office" and the Public Security Bureau became afraid that she might die in the detention center, so to avoid having to take any responsibility for their actions, they asked Long Gang's family to take her home. On November 6, 2002, she passed away at home. [The "610 office" is a bureau that was specifically created to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches].

On January 21, 2000, Ms Long Gang was caught when she went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong and was then taken back to her hometown. On January 27, Liu Anxue, who worked for the "610 office", incited Chen Wen, the chief of the Public Security Bureau, together with deputy chiefs Chen Changlong and Zhang Xuelun, policemen Chen Minghai, Long Jianming, Ou Youshu and other thugs to take turns torturing her. Without giving her any food or drink for twenty-four hours, they took Long Gang and five other Falun Gong practitioners to the detention center at 3:00AM. Thirty days later, she was released. After returning home, she was dismissed from her job by her company.

In 2001, Long Gang went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Gong again. She was arrested at Tiananmen Square and was deported back to her hometown and held at the Tongliang Detention Center, where she was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. She went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution that she was suffering from in the forced labor camp. She then had a tube brutally inserted down her esophagus and into her stomach, through which she was force-fed high-density salt water and food. Due to the brutality of their methods, the tube didn't always lead down the esophagus but also went down the trachea. This vile method of torture damaged her lungs tremendously and caused her to cough constantly. She suffered from extreme pain in her lungs and grew thinner and thinner. To shirk their responsibility, the detention center claimed that she had contracted tuberculosis, and asked her family to obtain a medical parole for her and take her home.

After returning home, her health gradually improved. However, Liu Anxue, who worked for the "610 office" of Tongliang County, ordered police officer Chen Minghai and others to take Long Gang to the brainwashing center, which is held at the Detention Center. From that time on her health declined to the point where she could hardly walk. The "610 office" and the Public Security Bureau were afraid of shouldering the responsibility if she died, so they asked her family to take her home again. Long Gang passed away at her home on November 11, 2002.
