According to a confidential source within the Public Security Bureau in Daqin City, Heilongjiang Province, a female Dafa practitioner between the ages of 16-18 from outside of Daqin City was abducted by the bureau between April and July of 2002. The person revealing the information said that the incarcerated teenage girl was savagely tortured to death and her body was secretly cremated. The Head of Daqin City's Public Security Bureau personally participated in the joint murder, which only a few staff within the Bureau know about. They were asked to keep it a secret and to claim that the teenage girl had been released if anyone ever asked about her.

The staff at Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province continues to brainwash and persecute Dafa practitioners using the most vicious torture methods. Some of the cruelest and most painful physical and spiritual tortures inflicted upon them include (see descriptions at the end of #2): "tying the ropes," "straitjacket," deprivation of sleep, and forced to hear audiotapes slandering and cursing the founder of Falun Dafa. With absolutely no regard for her age, the depraved disciplinary staff put 60-year-old Ms. Yang Xiuhua in a "strait jacket" that caused the tendons of her shoulders to tear, shocked her with electric batons, and deprived her of sleep for days. They even went so far as to insert matchsticks between her eyelids to keep them open. They also made her sit still on one of the legs of an upside-down bench for an extended time (See "Sitting Board").

After torturing six Dafa practitioners to death, the disciplinary staff using brutal torture methods, increased their forced brainwashing efforts since the Moon Cake Festival this year. They sent former practitioners, who gave into the forced brainwashing and turned against Falun Dafa to avoid additional tortures, to continuously attack determined Dafa practitioners by cursing and "sharing" their twisted interpretations of Dafa books. These former practitioners, now collaborators of the wicked police also shock determined practitioners with multiple electric batons in the very same way that the depraved police had used to make them turn against the virtues of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance that Falun Dafa requires of its practitioners.

[Tying the Ropes]: The police tie up the practitioner with a thin rope, circle the rope around the neck, and tie his hands behind his back.  Then the police use all of the strength they can muster to tighten the rope.  The rope becomes very tight around the body of the practitioner, and makes it extremely difficult for him/her to breathe. The pain is so intense that the practitioner sometimes loses control of their bladder. There are instances where the rope was tightened enough to break a practitioner's arm. (Link to a torture case)

[Strait Jacket]: Since April 22, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners have been forced to wear the strait jacket made of fine canvas, which was specifically created to cruelly punish them. It is put on from the front of the body, and tied in knots at the back. The sleeves are about 25 centimeters beyond the hands with tightening bands. The arms are wrapped around the front of the body and tied behind. The legs are tied together, and then they hang the tied hands from metal bars. Both arms of the victim are immediately injured. The tendons and bones of the shoulders, elbows, and wrists are torn and fractured. When the torture is prolonged, the spinal cord is fractured and the result is an extremely painful death. Many Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death by this method. (Link to a torture case)

[Sitting Board]: Everyday, practitioners sit on the bench for 18 hours per day with their hands on top of their laps and their backs straight. This torture is continued for over fifty days. The authorities even limit the use of the restroom. Due to the long time spent sitting on the hard benches, their buttocks develop large sores that are very painful and can interfere with normal urination. The labor camp is very humid, and the police do not allow the practitioners any kind of ventilation or sunlight. Because the practitioners are locked up continuously for long periods in these conditions, countless red scabies that are extremely itchy and painful, grow everywhere on their bodies. Zhongshan District Court in Dalian City, Liaoning Province will illegally try Zhongshan District Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Jingyi and her sister Ms. Li Jin'e at 9:00 a.m.. on Thursday, December 11, 2003 for exercising their constitutional right of maintaining their personal belief in Falun Dafa.

A source indicates that Ms. Wu Jinlian, a Dafa practitioner from Luoding City, Guangdong Province, was tricked out of her home and abducted to Yunfu City Forced Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Wang Chunying is a 73-year-old Dafa practitioner in Malanzi Area, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. At the end of September of 2003, someone tipped off the Dalian police, which led to the abduction of Ms. Wang while she was distributing materials containing the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. After 24-hours of illegal detention in the police station on Guilin Street, the police officers took her home in person. In mid-November of 2003, the police officers from Guilin Street Police Station again abducted her. Ms. Wang Chunying's current whereabouts are unknown.

Dalian police [who claimed that "they were the law"] declared a new "rule" which wasn't established by the state or the city's legislation. It states that any Dafa practitioner caught posting or distributing Falun Dafa materials will be directly thrown into the forced labor camp with all legal procedures waived. [In fact, abducting a Chinese citizen for having a personal belief is against the law and the Chinese Constitution. Declaring an arbitrary "law" persecuting someone's constitutional right and incarcerating him in prison further violates the law. There has never been or can never be a "legal procedure" for their persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners.]

Dongchang District Branch of Tonghua City Public Security Bureau in Tonghua City, Jilin Province has built a torture chamber on the 7th floor of its office building. The torture chamber is equipped with iron cages, iron shackles nailed to the walls, "iron chairs" and more. (See the illustration of "iron chair" in "Iron Chair Device Used by Jiang Zemin's Regime to Torture Practitioners") The police officers have been known to shackle Dafa practitioners to the wall in order to conveniently keep hitting and kicking them as a sadistic form of interrogation. They have also installed a pair of forceps on the legs of the "iron chair" and thin iron wires on the arms of the chair. The police officers often shackle Dafa practitioners to the "iron chair" for more than a week. The wires cause pain to the victim's buttocks. The policemen also deprive them of the use of the toilet.

Ms. Ji Hongbo is a 44-year-old Dafa practitioner in Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province. On September 9, 2003, the local police abducted Ms. Ji from her home to Jidong County Detention Center, Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province. Ms. Ji has been illegally detained there for over three months.

Ms. Zhang Jianrong is a Dafa practitioner in Dong'an County, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Changchun City Public Security Bureau has secretly detained Ms. Zhang for more than one year, exceeding the legal time limit of detention. Furthermore, the Changchun police did not comply with any legal procedure when they abducted her from her home a year ago. An inside source indicates that Ms. Zhang had become severely disabled from the tortures inflicted upon her. She has lost the ability to walk and relies on others to take care of her.

Since July 20, 1999, Mr. Li Jiangtao, Party Committee Secretary of the Red Cross Service Center in Jilin Province, has been actively persecuting Dafa practitioners who work there. Since November 2003, Mr. Li has been cooperating with the "610 Office" at the provincial level by calling and leading the staff from the "610 Office" to abduct a Dafa practitioner working for the Red Cross from home. The practitioner was forced to leave home and go into hiding. Recently, Li Jiangtao has been enthusiastically urging the "610 Office" to abduct that Dafa practitioner again. ["610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems. Due to pressure from the international community, the Chinese Communist government has renamed the "610 Office" on October 15, 2003, and lied to the world, stating that the "610 Office" has been "disbanded."]

The weather was extremely cold in February 2000 in Heilongjiang Province. In fact, it was so cold that a spray of water would immediately turn into ice in a matter of seconds. In such extreme temperatures, the cruel policemen in the 1st Detention Center in Hegang, Heilongjiang Province removed the shoes of Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Chunzhi, shackled her hands and legs together, and threw her outdoors into the snow. They also viciously beat her up while she was freezing in the snow.

In mid-May of 2002, Ms. Zhang Chunzhi was imprisoned in the 2nd Detention Center in Hegang where she suffered from brutal tortures both physically and mentally. The Head of the detention center Mr. You, disciplinary guard Mr. Jiang and some police officers ordered the inmates in her cell to deprive her of sleep. Whenever Ms. Zhang closed her eyes, the inmates would savagely beat her up and spill cold water over her body. Afterwards, they forced her to sit on the cold floor. During the illegal imprisonment, Ms. Zhang was also subjected to a cruel torture called "legs on a stick." (Please see the description and illustration of "Legs on a stick" below) She was continuously subjected to the "legs on a stick" torture without any break. The police officers even refused to remove the shackles and the stick when she had to use the toilet. Ms. Zhang had to rely on others' help when eating and using the toilet. Moreover, the police would beat her up savagely with police batons while she was suffering from the "legs on a stick" torture. Even to this day, Ms. Zhang cannot feel her left leg.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Suping was an instructor at the employee training center of Dagang District Oil Chemical Company in Tianjin City. In the beginning of 2001, she was illegally sentenced to two years in the forced labor camp, and released in the beginning of 2003. On April 1, 2003, Dagang District Oil Chemical Company agreed to re-hire her as an instructor based on a 6-month contract. Because Ms. Yang continues to cultivate in Falun Dafa, the company saw her as a "troublemaker." When the contract expired on October 1, the company agreed to extend the contract only if she would sign the new contract with a clause that slandered Falun Dafa and its founder. She solemnly rejected their demand. The company used this as an excuse not to extend the contract. Ms. Yang tried to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution to her managers, who then agreed to let her start working on October 5. However, the police from the "610 Office" started to harass her at home. A kind colleague from the company told her that her managers had never planned to extend the contract, and that they had prepared a lot of evidence against her. In fact, they already submitted the materials to the local "610 Office" in order to send her back to jail.

Jiang Zemin has been scurrying around from place to place, and has stayed in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province for twenty some days since mid-October of 2003. He visited Lingyin Temple, and burned incense and kowtowed to the Buddha statues. However, not for a moment did he forget to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. A source indicates that Jiang ordered his accomplices in Hangzhou to evacuate all the underage criminals serving their time from Qiaosi Labor Farm located in the suburb of Hangzhou, and remodel it into a forced labor camp to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. He also ordered them to build a punitive psychiatric hospital next to the forced labor camp. Although they may appear to be two different types of institution, they are built for the same purpose, to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. This project is now secretly under construction.

Mr. Zhong Dayang is a 33-year-old Dafa practitioner who graduated from Central Industrial Art Institute with a major in Environment Art. For creating a large number of truth materials about Falun Dafa and the persecution, the State Security Bureau hunted him as one of their primary targets. Special agents also stalked him for as long as three months. Between August 1-10 of 2002, Beijing police abducted about 12 practitioners, including Mr. Zhong. The police also ransacked Zhong's truth-clarification material production site, and looted everything of value. The police also abducted his family members who are Dafa practitioners--Zhong's mother, two elder sisters, and his 8-year-old niece. His sisters were illegally sentenced to serve time in the force labor camp. Mr. Zhong is still under illegal detention in the Haiding Detention Center in Beijing, exceeding the legal time limit of detention. Mr. Zhong remains a determined Dafa practitioner.

Hubei Provincial Forced Brainwashing Center is located inside the resort beside the Tangxun Lake in Wuchang City, Hubei Province. Despite its location, it is essentially a prison where the depraved police are trying to brainwash Dafa practitioners in every conceivably shameless way. One of the approaches they used is to transfer over a group of former Dafa practitioners who have given up the practice due to the intense tortures and are now forced to assist in brainwashing determined practitioners as a price to waive the tortures on themselves. They attack Dafa practitioners with slanders, curses and humiliation to psychologically devastate them with their twisted interpretations of Dafa books. They also use many kinds of shameless and ridiculous means to make determined Dafa practitioners renounce Falun Dafa.

According to a reliable source in China, the Chinese Central government has issued a new command to begin another round of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners nationwide. The order specifies Hebei Province, specifically Baoding City, as the main target in the new round of persecution. This is but a final desperate struggle of Jiang's diminishing persecution.
