Truth-Clarification Materials Made from Inside the Security Office

(Clearwisdom.net) Large amounts of truth-clarifying materials were being distributed in a northern city of China from May to June in 2001. Because of this, the officials in charge of persecuting Falun Gong became extremely nervous, and launched a secret investigation. The copy machines belonging to various work units were put under scrutiny, but nothing suspicious was found. The truth-clarifying materials continued to be distributed in the city. It was rumored that the city security officials, while monitoring Falun Gong's websites, had gradually realized the truth about the persecution and started supporting or practicing Falun Gong secretly. The City Security Bureau consequently started an investigation within its own organization. They were startled to find out that their own bureau was the origin of those truth-clarifying materials, and that these materials were being copied in the very department in charge of monitoring Falun Gong's websites. All the personnel were consequently transferred out of the office or forced to resign. After the incident, personnel involved in website monitoring were constantly replaced.

On January 3, a practitioner's relative told the following to another practitioner just being released from a detention center: "I am an undercover agent for the ¡®610 Office'* and National Security, and I am being paid monthly for my undercover activities. I am also monitoring several Falun Gong practitioners within my unit, but I will not reveal them. I have read many Falun Gong materials, and know that Falun Gong is good and righteous, and I am not against Falun Gong." This practitioner told the agent not to believe the lies spread by TV broadcasts and to not sell out these practitioners. He also shared with the agent several examples of karmic retribution for conducting evil activities. The undercover agent said, "I will not do things so lacking in virtue, and I am thinking quitting my job as an undercover agent." He then asked for a Dafa article, and the practitioner gave him a Dafa book. The agent treated it as something very valuable. When he read the first paragraph in "Lunyu," he kept saying that it's good and profound. Before he left, the agent told the practitioner, "You guys need to pay attention to strategy. The New Year is near, and the ¡®610 Office' and National Security will be beginning another round of persecution to target you."
