Israel: Lawyers Support Petition to Bring Jiang to Justice (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, Israeli practitioners have started to send letters to those in the legal profession in Israel. These letters are meant to clarify the facts comprehensively, and to prepare for a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin and his cohorts, which is being prepared in Israel. The letter introduces Falun Gong and presents information about the persecution. Practitioners also offer the opportunity to the receiver to sign a petition to bring Jiang Zemin to justice. Some have already signed the petition, and one of them was so moved by the letter, that he requested to meet practitioners immediately. When practitioners met him, he was eager to help in any way he could and even asked to read Zhuan Falun. At the end of the meeting, there were tears in his eyes, and he hugged practitioners warmly. A few days later, he wrote the following letter to the Attorney Bureau of Israel, a human rights committee at the Israeli Bar.

Subject: Meeting with Israeli Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) practitioners.

Dear Sir/Madam

I, as a friend of Falun Gong in Israel apply to you with an urgent plea to meet with the practitioners of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong is an ancient method for practicing the cultivation of body, mind, and spirit based on the characteristics of the cosmos: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. More than one hundred million people, in more than sixty countries worldwide are practicing it. This method of cultivation has received honours and hundreds of awards from governmental and non-governmental systems worldwide.

However, the practice was banned in China in July 1999. Since then, the practitioners of this system have been persecuted and ceaselessly tortured. To date, 860 practitioners have been tortured to death (this is the number verified by the government, but internal sources report thousands killed), hundreds of thousands have been imprisoned and more than a hundred thousand people have been sent to labour camps.

In the 1930s, the world silently watched the persecution of Jews executed by Nazi Germany and allowed the Holocaust to occur in the 1940s. The persecution of Falun Gong includes serious aspects of Genocide. As people who have been victims of persecution and the apathetic world, we must not remain indifferent. We have to choose between right and wrong, and thus not only influence far-away China, but also demonstrate our moral standpoint and position ourselves between good and evil for generations to come.

We apply to you and ask you to meet with us as soon as you can. At the meeting we would like to tell you about Falun Gong activities in Israel and worldwide, and to inform you of the details of this hideous persecution happening in China. We ask for your support and help from the experience and knowledge you have accumulated in your work as a committee in order to discuss the possible ways of action to stop the persecution and to release the practitioners imprisoned illegally.
