(Clearwisdom.net, January 25, 2004) Regarding Falun Gong practitioners' plan to hold activities in Paris during the Chinese Spring Festival, French police and the Paris government encountered tremendous pressure from the Chinese government. The pressure interfered with them in following just democratic principles to handle Falun Gong practitioners' applications. This could result in rights violations of legal organizations in France.

On the afternoon of January 20, 2004, the French Falun Dafa Association held a news conference at the French Press Club to expose Chinese Embassy's infringement upon public rights of a legal group in France. Many major media came to cover the news. AFP, Herald Forum, France Info, Radio France Internationale and other French and European media already reported the issue about the Chinese government exerting pressure on French government. Even more so, some media phoned related French government departments to express their concern over this issue.
