France: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Peaceful Appeal outside Chinese Consulate (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net, January 26, 2004) Regarding Falun Gong practitioners' holding activities in Paris during the Chinese Spring Festival, French police and the Paris government encountered tremendous pressure from the Chinese government. The pressure interfered with them in following just, democratic principles to handle Falun Gong practitioners' applications. This could result in rights violations of legal organizations in France.

Falun Gong practitioners call for all circles in society to encourage and support Falun Gong practitioners' legitimate rights and safeguard the principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." In spite of the cold weather, they went to the Chinese Consulate in France to hold a peaceful appeal, demanding the Chinese government stop the campaign of persecuting Falun Gong that Jiang Zemin started.
