(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Fa is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shan County, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province. On the night of November 22, 2000, while distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials, Wang was reported to the police, who arrested him and threw him in the county detention center. The police there ordered inmates to beat Wang, and they also extorted money from him. Wang requested he be released unconditionally and be given the right to practice Dafa exercises openly. However, he was rejected. Wang then went on a hunger strike to protest, and the police force fed him brutally, causing seven of his teeth to be knocked out. At present, Wang has been detained for over three years. He is in critical condition. He cannot take care of himself and has edema all over his body. His family members have requested many times that he be released, but the police simply turn a deaf ear to them.

Some other practitioners in Shan County were also arrested. A female Dafa practitioner Liu Juhua, 63, was arrested in July 2002 for distributing truth clarification materials. She is still detained in the county detention center. Mr. Qin Fajun has been detained three more years after his initial term expired.
