Hunger Strikes Are Magnificent If Based On The Fa and Without the Attachment of Fear

(Clearwisdom.net) When Falun Dafa practitioners are arrested, many of them go on hunger strikes. What is the purpose of carrying out a hunger strike? Is it purely for leaving the den of evil? Or is it for the sake of Fa-rectification? Different purposes create different outcomes.

Since July 20, 1999, when the severe persecution of Dafa practitioners began, many practitioners from my local area were arrested in Beijing while rectifying the Fa. Afterwards, they went on hunger strikes while in detention. They thought: "We are Dafa practitioners; what we do is sanctioned by the constitution of China, we are innocent of any crime. No matter where we are, we need to do what Dafa practitioners should do; we need to tell others that Dafa is good and to prove that Dafa is great and sacred."

They used hunger strikes to prove that Dafa is good and to protest being illegally arrested. These are the cultivators who do not worry about living or dying. They not only refused to eat or drink, but also their behavior does not compromise with the evil: They refused to wear prison clothes, to be identified with a prison number, and did not respond to roll call with prison numbers. They also refused having their pictures taken, refused being fingerprinted, and refused being force-fed. Their minds are only on the Fa; they always recite the Fa. They clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to police and prisoners. They use their righteous minds to eliminate the evil, and they always face the evil with righteous minds when under persecution -- whether being force-fed, severely beaten, being forced to wear handcuffs or foot shackles, being pierced on the face or fingers with needles, or being put on the "dead person's bed."*

When these practitioners were tortured, they all shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good!" Their actions shocked and eliminated the evil. The evil beings in other dimensions were being destroyed instantly in large numbers when practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" This is why the evil is so afraid of practitioners shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" The manifestation of this fear in the human dimension is to let practitioners go free. So if practitioners continued to go on hunger strikes, the evil in other dimensions would be destroyed. They wouldn't be able to stand it and they'd have to let the practitioners go. Jails are incapable of imprisoning gods. Nobody can manipulate Dafa disciples who have righteous thoughts and righteous actions.

Teacher tells us,

Dafa practitioners coming to this human dimension are coming to help Teacher carry out Fa-rectification and to save sentient beings, but not to be persecuted. No life is qualified to test Dafa, and whoever tries to do it will be guilty of a great sin. I hope that all Dafa practitioners will maintain righteous minds and righteous thoughts, under any situation and in any environment.

* The "dead person's bed" is a torture where the four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy cold iron bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he or she allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner, both mentally and physically.
