Constantly Improve Our Approach When Clarifying the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) In the past, when clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa, I had always taken the same approach. I always wanted to begin by chatting about topics that everyday people cared about, or, I had consciously guided the topics of conversation and gradually introduced other subjects to clarify the truth. But when I did so, I always felt that I did not have enough time, and I often had to say good-bye before telling my listeners about the lawsuits pending against Jiang Zemin, about his regime and the tortures that are being perpetrated on practitioners in this persecution.

I realized that always taking a detour and an indirect approach when clarifying the truth is also a preconceived notion, isn't it? Granted, though, we must always consider the circumstances while clarifying the truth and we must clarify the truth with rationality and wisdom.

Later, I tried to use all kinds of approaches to clarify the truth directly. The first question I asked was, "Do you know that Jiang Zemin and his regime have been sued in court by Falun Gong practitioners in over a dozen countries around the world?" This approach can immediately cut to the subject and have a great effect.

With the back-up of posted outdoor truth-clarifying flyers exposing the violent and atrocious conduct of the local police, I also asked people, "Have you seen the flyers about the local officials from the "610 Office,"* the labor camps, or the brainwashing classes? Did you know that our local public security department personnel are tormenting and abusing Falun Dafa practitioners?"

This approach really cuts straight to the heart of the matter! Sometimes, even though I only have a few minutes to talk to people, I can tell them the facts from a third party perspective. When revealing persecution information sources, I can also let people know that I am a victim myself, and discuss the persecution I have experienced, or tell them that my relatives are Dafa practitioners as well.

We can make use of Falun Gong literature obtained and seen on the Internet, and the information garnered from overseas TV or radio stations - from America, Germany, France, and other countries - to encourage people to listen and watch correct, dignified and noble coverage of Falun Gong. If we have enough time, we can clarify the truth from all perspectives. If time is short, we can single out one important message. While we are telling the facts, we must pay attention to sending forth righteous thoughts with regard to the particular situation and place, and with regard to the overall response of the people we are talking to. Analyzing all these factors objectively will help us to do an effective job.

Moreover, I believe that the more depth and breadth of Dafa practitioners' understanding regarding the Jiang Zemin lawsuits, the inner workings of his regime, insights into local persecution cases and consideration of other factors will greatly impact the results when presenting the facts. Thus, to be well-informed ourselves, I suggest that everyone read the articles on Clearwisdom.net dealing with the Jiang lawsuits, so that we can have a deeper and more profound understanding of the following topics:

• Which provisions of the law and which portions of the Chinese Constitution are being violated when persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners;
• how the persecution is committing unforgiveable crimes against humanity; why we can sue Jiang Zemin and his regime;
• why we must sue them, and,
• moreover, why we surely can win unequivocal recognition and support from the whole world.

Only when we are well-informed about these points can we clarify the truth thoroughly.

These are some of my experiences and thoughts, developed during the truth clarification process. Please correct me if I have any misunderstandings.

* The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
