Dafa Practitioners Persecuted by Party Committee and Security Division Staff Members at Central China Normal University, Wuhan City, Hubei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Many people in Wuhan City's Central China Normal University practice Falun Gong and have been persecuted very severely since July 20, 1999. Dafa practitioner Wang Haoyun was tortured to death in the school of arts and sciences filing room. So far we have information concerning four people who were sentenced to forced labor camps (Sun Gang from the continuing education school, was sentenced to one year of imprisonment, former Mechanical and electrical products factory head Wang Linfang was sentenced to one and a half year of imprisonment. Wu Xinguo, of the affiliated primary school was sentenced to one-year in prison. He wasn't released until he went on hunger strike for more than 70 days. Yu Wanlan from the filing room of the Science and Art's department was sentenced to three years). Fourteen other practitioners were thrown into detention centers, and about 23 more were forced into brainwashing centers. Three practitioners were dismissed from school. Sun Gang of the Continuing Education School and Wu Xinguo of the affiliated Primary School have been expelled from their former jobs. Many students had to face obstacles in their graduation, job distribution, and applications for graduate schools. An elderly receptionist was forced out of her job and had to stay at home. School officials also forced many elderly Dafa practitioners to express their attitude at meetings where Falun Gong was criticized.

The Party Committee of the University Department and Security Division bear the responsibility for these cases of persecution. Even though these two departments didn't directly beat and torture Dafa practitioners, the officials have cooperated maximally with the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] staff to seize and arrest faculty and staff of their own school. As a result, they have done many things to assist the evil in its persecution against Falun gong. We hereby publicize the following relevant people's phone numbers:
