The Experience of a Peach Vendor

The authorities in Mengyin County, Shandong Province set up the Mengshan Police Station, consisting of 30 to 40 policemen, to patrol day and night for Falun Gong practitioners in the area near Fei County and Shuying. One night a peach vendor stopped his motorcycle by a utility pole at the side of the road. The police thought that he was a Dafa practitioner posting flyers and rushed to apprehend him. The peach vendor thought that they were checking up on motorcyclists who did not have valid drivers' licenses. He was so scared that he quickly ran away. The police followed him closely in their car. The peach vendor entered his village via a narrow side street and left his motorcycle at a relative's house. The police car could not follow because the roads were too narrow, so they stopped the car and had to walk into the village to search for him. About 20 officers, all brandishing sticks, poured into the village. Seeing the situation, the peach vendor snuck into his relative's neighbor's house, but they finally caught him. The peach vendor, who is not a practitioner, was in a lot of trouble. The police demanded that the head of the village come to pick him up, and released him only after five people guaranteed he was not a Dafa practitioner.
