I was very fortunate to discover the practice of Falun Dafa in 1997. After finishing reading Zhuan Falun for the first time, I suddenly understood many things I did not understand in the past. I realized that Falun Dafa is a genuine teaching. Since then I have persisted in studying the Fa and practicing the exercises everyday. Through my practice, the profound meanings of the Fa have continually been revealed before my eyes.

After the Jiang regime began its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Jiang's accomplices have used various means including secret surveillance, brainwashing, and "labor education" to force practitioners to give up their practice. One night in the spring of 2000, the evil kidnapped my husband who is also a Dafa practitioner. This was a test for me. My mother-in-law could not bear such shock and fell ill. I calmed myself down and comforted her, "Your son and I are following Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance and are doing the most righteous thing in the world. No matter what happens, we will persist in cultivation. Don't worry. Your son will come back very soon." As I said this, I became calmer. This was really a miracle. Once I had righteous thoughts, the evil interference was cleared away. After two days, my husband was released and my mother-in-law became well again. Everything in cultivation comes from the Fa and Teacher's immense compassion. With a determined mind, everything will be just fine.

No matter how the evil is doing damage, I am determined to cultivate Falun Dafa. However, sometimes I would be occupied with everyday life and would appear to be too busy to study the Fa or send forth righteous thoughts. For a period of time, I would doze off once I picked up the book to study. I could not break the evil interference, so I just went to sleep whenever I felt sleepy. I did not have a good understanding of the Fa and always measured things using a human mentality. I would think that I needed more sleep. With this thought in mind, I was stuck in this state for a long period of time.

Later I realized I needed to look within. I found I was interfered with because I still had human notions. When faced with persecution, many practitioners are very determined. Why can't I be determined in the issue of studying the Fa? With this thought in mind, I am able to study the Fa again with a calm mind. My understanding is that only by studying the Fa with a determined mind, can we maintain righteous thoughts in validating the Fa and eliminate the warped notions in our mind. Only by studying the Fa with a determined mind, can we not bring loss to the whole body. Only by studying the Fa with a determined mind, can we utilize the wisdom and ability bestowed to us by Teacher and fully play the role of Dafa practitioners.

Teacher has asked us to study the Fa in each of his lectures. My understanding is that when we study the Fa every day, the improvement of our xinxing is embedded there. When we face tribulations, we will first use the Fa to look at the situation. Only by doing so can we assimilate to the Fa and use the different levels of Fa principles to guide our cultivation.

In fact, as long as we study the Fa diligently and measure everything using the Fa's standards, and treat everything with reason, we will leave no loopholes for the evil to take advantage of and we will not go awry on the path that we walk. Cherish this rare opportunity! The time left for us in the Fa-rectification is very limited. Walk every step well. This is extremely important to history, the future, and ourselves.
