Bearing Witness to History: Practitioners Validate Dafa and Resist the Evil at the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province

Scene 1: On May 13, 2001, in the so-called study room (length 12 meters, width 7 meters) of Xinhua Labor Camp, 160 people, of which 40 were Dafa practitioners, were made to sit in orderly rows with other detainees of the camp (criminals) surrounding them. Around eight o'clock in the morning, Dafa practitioners started to practice the five sets of exercises together to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (May 13th). Everyone crossed their legs and conjoined their hands with serene expressions on their faces. Even though the criminals continuously dragged, pulled and beat them, while the police officers walked back and forth and yelled at them loudly, Dafa practitioners remained strong and firm.

Scene 2: Nine Dafa practitioners were carried to the office of police officer Zhao Yongming (Captain) and were tied up and shocked with electric batons. However, everyone's facial expression was calm and dignified. No one cooperated with the evil. Zhao Yongming sat in front of the Dafa practitioners with four guards standing by his side, and there were over a dozen criminals behind the Dafa practitioners.

Scene 3: In the so-called study room, posters slandering Dafa were all over the walls. Over 160 people stood up neatly. Suddenly, Dafa practitioners tore off all the posters from the walls at the same time and then tore them up with their hands. The whole process lasted less than one minute. The criminals standing on the side were stunned and did not know how to react.

Scene 4: In mid September 2001, the sky was partly cloudy. The labor camp has an exercise field that is about 90 meters long and 70 meters wide. On its north side, there was a five-story building about 80 meters long. On its west side there was a five-story building about 70 meters long; on its east side, there was a one-story building about 70 meters log (cafeteria); in the front were the gate and walls. Over two thousand people sat neatly in the exercise field facing two rows of police officers while the surrounding area was scattered with disciplinary guards from different teams. Three guards with white helmets formed a team. On their waists were handcuffs and plastic sticks for beating people. They held long high voltage batons and walkie-talkies and they patrolled back and forth within the teams. When the meeting that slandered Dafa started, one of the Dafa practitioners suddenly stood up and yelled out loudly, "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is the righteous Way!" Afterwards, two, then three more practitioners followed him and stood up. The ones in the front were held down by the criminals but those in the back stood up. Their voices went straight up to the clouds and shook the universe!

Scene 5: It was mid December 2002 and the sky was cloudy. In the exercise field, a police officer named Zhao Yu sat on a chair. He wore a pair of glasses, was in his 30's and about 1.6 meters tall. He was looking at Dafa practitioner Zheng Fangjun who was wearing a green army coat. Zheng peacefully faced him and directly clarified the truth to him. He did this while seven criminals stood on each side and behind him.

Scene 6: In the study room of the fourth division of the fifth team, over 160 people were sitting inside. Police officer Zhao Yu demanded Dafa practitioner Li Chunshan to admit that he was wrong. Li Chunshan looked at him with both eyes and said, "I did nothing wrong. You have committed crimes by beating Dafa practitioners!" Zhao was very angry and cursed Li and cursed Dafa. Dafa practitioner Lu Zhiyong stood up and questioned Zhao, "Who gave you the right to hit people? You don't deserve to even mention Falun Dafa." Zhao screamed, "Drag him out." Eight criminals pulled him out of the room and dragged him away nervously. Lu Zhiyong was a forest ranger. He is about 1.8 meters tall and has a square face. A healthy and strong man, he is also a diligent and firm practitioner.
