(Clearwisdom.net, January 4, 2004) Because American citizen Charles Li planed to use cable TV to expose the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong, he was arrested by the Chinese police officers at the Guangzhou Airport when he visited China in January 2003. Almost one year has passed. After Charles Li's arrest, Falun Gong practitioners outside China have been working hard to rescue him. Shortly before, a cross-America van tour was conducted to call for his release. Recently, a postcard signature collection campaign was carried out to express support.

To support the postcard campaign, on December 20, 2003, Indianapolis Falun Gong practitioners took the opportunity of a college basketball game to go to streets and introduce Falun Gong and the persecution to the American people and collect the signatures. They called upon President Bush to demand the Chinese government to unconditionally release American citizen, Dr. Charles Li.

At present, Charles Li is incarcerated in Nanjing Prison. He is deprived of the right to read Falun Gong books and do the exercises. He has been subjected to forced brainwashing, which is cruel mental torture. Meanwhile, thousands upon thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are suffering the same type of persecution in China.
