Dafa Practitioners in Russia Participate in the "2003 Sakharov Symposium"

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 10 2003, International Human Rights day, the annual "Sakharov Symposium was held in St. Petersburg. Human rights organizations, city congressmen and the media attended. Representatives of the Russian Falun Dafa Association were also invited to attend and to give a report about Falun Dafa.

Participants of the symposium earnestly listened to the report, which stated the details of the human rights violations that Falun Gong practitioners in St. Petersburg have suffered due to the pressure from the Chinese consulate. When those in attendance learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China, they were deeply shocked.

This symposium provided Dafa practitioners in St. Petersburg with a good opportunity to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The fact that the media attended the symposium also meant that more people could learn the truth.
