A Woman Tending Fields on a Mountainside Validates Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner. My work is tending fields on a mountainside. I started to practice Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) at the end of 1998. During my cultivation practice, I have come to realize that Falun Dafa is immensely profound and miraculous, so I made up my mind to cultivate all the way to the end.

Since July 20, 1999 the various TV networks and stations in China have broadcast programs slandering both our Teacher and Falun Dafa. I was completely impervious to the deceitful lies broadcast on TV and so I started to share with everyone the benefits that I had received through my own cultivation in Falun Dafa. During the summer of 2001, police officers from my village abducted me along with some of my fellow Dafa practitioners.

We were illegally detained for four days during which period we were denied any food or water. They didn't release us until they had managed to extort 3,000 yuan from each of our families [approximately 6-month salary of an average urban worker].

Since then, fellow practitioners and I have traveled far and wide in order to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, distribute materials containing the truth about Falun Dafa, and putting up the message, "Falun Dafa is great" everywhere we go. Most of the mountain residents accepted the truth about Falun Dafa. When I met an illiterate person, I would read the content of the flyer to them so as to give them a chance to learn the truth. We would walk to towns that are even very far away in order to post truth-clarification materials.

On several occasions, I ran into police officers who were patrolling the area. I walked right past them while continuing to post the truth-clarification materials along the way. I also delivered truth-clarification materials to hospitals and government organizations. Many miracles happened to me when I maintained righteous thoughts and acted righteously.

We once made several banners containing the truth about Falun Dafa. Each banner measured over ten feet in length. We hung one of them on the side of a main street with the message, "People with Kindness, Please Keep Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance in Your Hearts." There is always a lot of traffic in that area, and everyone passing by saw the banner. The following day scores of police officers came to the area, many of whom were disguised in civilian clothes. They started to hunt for the person who had put up the banner.

For the past four years, countless Dafa practitioners have been subject to the most brutal persecution. However, because of Teacher's compassionate protection and by maintaining righteous thoughts and actions at all times, over the past four years I have been clarifying the truth and keeping up with my Fa [Law and Principles] study and the practice of the Falun Gong exercises, whilst never been harmed. During my actual cultivation practice, I kept enhancing my understanding of the Fa and experiencing the magnificence of cultivation in Dafa. I must walk my path of cultivation well by conducting myself based on the Fa, and accomplish the sacred mission and responsibility that a Dafa disciple holds in the Fa-rectification period.

Dafa practitioners in my area have been keeping up with practicing the Falun Gong exercises together and have been exchanging cultivation experiences. On the evening of July 24, 2002, staff from the county's "610 Office"[1] and the local village government members abducted me from my home and incarcerated me in a drug rehabilitation center. [Such "drug rehabilitation centers" are often, in reality, used to detain, torture, and hold forced brainwashing classes for Falun Gong practitioners.] Everyone who participated in this abduction or who had extorted money from Dafa practitioners following this abduction has met with karmic retribution [2]. Two of them are unable to walk normally. The county's "610 Office" and local village government now hesitate to persecute Falun Gong practitioners because they are afraid that they too might meet with karmic retribution. There have been an increasing number of people coming to learn Falun Gong.

[1] "610 Office" is a Gestapo-like agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems. Due to pressure from the international community, the Chinese Communist government has renamed the "610 Office" on October 15, 2003, and lied to the world, stating that the "610 Office" has been "disbanded."

[2] In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
