Zhang Baona, a Police Officer at the Laocheng Town Police Station in Changtu County, Twice Sexually Assaults Female Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner in Liaoning Province. I was born in 1961 and am in my 40s. On the evening of November 23, 2001 I was sexually assaulted at the Laocheng Town Police Station in Changtu County by police officer Zhang Baona.

At 9:40 p.m. on November 23, 2001, police officers Ma Xingjiu and Duan Baoming from Laocheng Town Police Station broke into my home and ransacked it. Because I refused to give up my belief in Falun Gong, they forcibly took me to the police station. Police officer Li Chunlei shouted, "I would love to shoot you dead with a single bullet." These "defenders of the law" handcuffed my left hand to a metal pipe and left. About 20 minutes later, two police officers, Du Hongwei and Zhang Baona came in. Zhang Baona saw me behind the door, and ran to me and grabbed my chest. I angrily pushed his left hand away with my right hand and turned my body away. Officer Du Hongwei stopped Zhang Baona and pushed him outside, then he also left.

About 20 minutes later, Du Hongwei and Zhang Baona came in again. They sat on a long bench to my east. Officer Du Hongwei made a phone call to a nearby grocery store and ordered cigarettes, then put down the phone and left. Zhang Baona suddenly jumped at me, violently jerked at the two top buttons on my shirt as he again grabbed at my chest and spewed a string of vulgar and derogatory words. I tried my best to fight him off and shouted, "Go away!" When I shouted for the fourth time, a young man in his 20s came in from a neighboring room and pushed the depraved Zhang Baona into another room. Another four or five police officers came in. One of them was Li Chunlei, deputy head of the station. Li Chunlei lied and said he didn't recognize Zhang Baona, in an attempt to exonerate himself from future reckonings. I said in a loud voice, "Don't you shy away! I know this person. I saw him at the Changtu County Detention Center on April 14, 2000."

As deputy head of the police station, Li Chunlei didn't punish the offender, a police officer who had committed a crime against an innocent person. On the contrary, he pointed his finger at me and said, "Stop yelling! You'll have your place to talk in the future." I was indignant and upset, but I tried to reason with them, "I didn't commit any crime! How can you treat me like this? In broad daylight, in the office of a government agency, a police officer sexually assaulted me twice when I was totally defenseless! What kind of people are you?"

Half an hour later, someone unlocked my handcuffs and freed me and told me to go upstairs for interrogation. I was still in shock from what had happened to me. I refused to answer all questions from a police officer named Ma Xingjiu. I told him assertively, "I want to talk to the head of the police station! I want to talk to the people in charge." They sent me back to the office downstairs.

I didn't want to sleep at all that cold winter night. Usually, police officers are regarded as protectors of the people, but what happened in the police station office, in front of many police officers, sent chills down my spine. No one ever came to me and offered to talk about the assault. On the morning of November 24, I left the police station on my own.

Sooner or later, the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong will be exposed clearly in the public eye. One day, I will take legal action against this deranged perpetrator who sexually assaulted me.
