The Influence of Distracting Thoughts and the Old Forces
(Clearwisdom.net) I'm a practitioner whose third eye is not open. But
after reading "The Current Situation in Other Time Spaces, as Witnessed by
Shanshan" posted on the Clearwisdom website on December 30, 2003, I shared
the authors' feelings very deeply. In recent articles, many Falun Dafa
practitioners have discussed the problems of doing work to clarify the truth of
Falun Dafa and the interference of selfishness. I think these problems are
interrelated and are common problems that Falun Dafa practitioners are
encountering in our current cultivation states. Every day when I practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts, I
could not achieve tranquility of mind and I had all sorts of distracting
thoughts. Sometimes the work that I'd planned on doing suddenly popped into my
head. At first I felt pretty good about it, then I sensed that something was
wrong about it. When practicing the exercises, if my hands are doing the
movements but my mind is on something else--isn't this just like the old forces
influencing me? This shows an attachment to getting what I want and what I want
to arrange for myself, instead of assimilating to the Great Fa. The Great
Consummation Way of Falun Dafa talks about "following the
mechanism" which carries the Fa truth of assimilating with the Great Fa. Having realized this, I was shocked. We were looking all over for the old
forces' influence while they already existed in our own dimensional field. Falun Dafa practitioners are ascending to their final Fruition and
Perfection. The Fa-rectification has evolved to the current stage, so the
requirements for Falun Dafa practitioners are higher now. Distracting thoughts
are a kind of thought-karma that probably originated from layer after layer of
other dimensions. It doesn't matter how good they may seem, since they
originated from the old cosmos and they could not survive in the new. In addition, the article also talks about the issue of time. My feeling about
the present period is that every day I have been extremely busy. It seemed very
difficult for me to find time to promote Falun Dafa or clarify the truth.
However, if I took a little more time to study the Fa and clarify the truth, I
ended up, unexpectedly, having even more time. December 19, 2003
