A Policewoman: "Shouldn't We Leave Ourselves a Way Out?"
(Clearwisdom.net) Around July 20, 1999 (the day when the
persecution of Falun Gong officially began in China), the chief of the
county police department told me, "As to this thing (persecuting Falun
Gong), we don't want to do it either, but we have been ordered to do so by
higher authorities. If not, we wouldn't do it and you could go ahead and
practice as you want." The truth is, the persecution of Falun Gong is
totally Jiang Zemin's personal idea. Jiang is the chief criminal of the
persecution. After the Changchun Cable TV system was tapped into to broadcast the truth of
the persecution of Falun Dafa in March 2002, while in a hair salon, I happened
to overhear a policewoman saying that she had been on duty for three days.
Others asked her the reason, and she said, "The police department passed on
an internal command from Jiang before the Chinese New Year that they can open
fire when they find any Falun Gong practitioners distributing Falun Gong
truth-clarifying flyers and that anyone killed in this manner won't count as
being killed by the police." Then she said, "Even if we see them doing
it, who would dare to open fire? And it's only passed down orally, there are no
written orders of any sort. Who will take the responsibility if there is really
someone killed? When Falun Gong's name is restored, Jiang's regime won't admit
its wrongdoings. Won't all the misfortune and crimes fall upon us? It's fine for
now? Jiang, didn't you order us to open fire? Falun Gong practitioners can't
distribute flyers much now, so they tap TV broadcasts instead, and the influence
is even greater. Shouldn't we leave ourselves a way out?" 2003-12-18
